- Had a little hiccup with the Japa 365 firewood processor, but now that all is fixed I need to perform some woodyard maintenance on it.

hi there yesterday you couldn't spell macanic today you are one , now fix your can ,made me smile . your a hoot . well done and best to all , john
I forgot to mention the highest maintenance thing in the woodyard is me! I'll keep that funnel pointed East to pick up any rattling from ya!
now i know what broke my little bit of concentration while sawing on the mill today , hung the saw in the cut john@@Back40Firewood
HELLO DAN, AS DESCRIBED THE FLUX CAPACITOR IS THE TIME GATEWAY TO FUTURE FIREWOOD.
ALSO LOVE YOUR VERY TAME BACK YARD PREDATORS. LOVE YOUR VIDS!
Shifty, things are ready for some more wood for the japa 365pro +😮😊❤
Good video.😀 Congrats on your and Joes 100th podcast🎉
Thank you!! 😁
That looked like quite a project for a hobbiest. You did alright👍
Hello Shifty, a little maintenance every now and then is exactly what the doctor ordered. Between your Japa 365 and the Eastonmade 37 D and having a tractor and a steady supply of logs from Rick you have a license to print money and heat your home. Keep up the good work my friend. See ya tomorrow night on the live stream.
Cheers Woody !!!
Hey Woody...between all the machines the thing that needs the most maintenance is me! LOL A High-Maintenance Hobbyist 🤣
@@Back40Firewood well, I guess we all need servicing every now and then.
Lol
Great Video as always Dan
Very informative and good just to see where you Add the Fluid. There should be O ring under that Screw you had to tighten down. Still recovering and getting Stronger every Day. Stress Test tomorrow. Joining Friday Night Live. BE Safe, Careful, and enjoy the Deer my Friend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Glad to hear the recovery is going well. Yep we checked the O ring on the screw before tightening it back down.
Now when Bob has left Metsa Machines there might be an opening for you Shifty, as a JAPA repair capability analyst! Congrats to the 100th episode of The Wood Hounds Podcast. 👍👍👍
lol...I'm not yet qualified for that position! Thanks on the podcast!
😅 got your very own woodyard groupies, you the man
GREAT JOB SHIF ( D ). IF I WAS THE JAPA AT THAT MOMENT... SEEN YOU FLYIN' OFF THE ROPES, GETTIN' READY TO LAY DOWN THE HYDRAULIC ELBOW ON ME... OOOOOOH, I'D GET WELL QUICK TOO!!! NEXT TIME YOU'RE ON THE HORN, TELL JOHN I SAID HAY IF YOU ( CAN ) LOL... STAY COOL BROTHER... PEACE...
Well at least it wasn't to much of a knuckle buster job. Decent designing by Japa to be able to do routine maintenance. Good job 👍
Dan, you forget to show us the thing that is connected to the other thing. And red loc-tight on the 2 bolts so they don't come loose for the next guy 😉👍
lol...there's plenty of things connected to things down under there...I'm glad I didn't have to touch anything else or who knows what would happen next time it ran. Hahaha
Hydraulics on many machines are fairly simple. Think of it like driving on roads. It is either a circle that you keep going around or you take a side path that is a dead end and have to return to where you came from. Side note... you should not have any hydraulics active when you start the engine. Thanks for the videos and hope this helps you or anyone else
Well, well, well! Look at you, Mr. Fancy Pants, flaunting your cordless blower skills! Meanwhile, I'm over here blowing off my equipment with the force of a hurricane every time I finish up. And hey, watch out for those sneaky ninja deer lurking in the bushes. They'll ninja-kick you out of your wood processing game before you can say "leaf blower"! MERICA!!!!
You may be onto something with the funnel to pick up on John's calls😂
Yay for 17mm metrics! And you didn’t get struck by lightning for mentioning the work “METRIC” in America!
Now we all know the secrets out, Dan lived to tell the tale of the 17mm metric spanner. His Grandchilden’s grandchildren will remember and celebrate 17mm Metric day for generations to come.
😆🤣😆
Nice fix
Great Scott!! It’s a flux capacitor😂😂👍👍
It's about time you answered John's can lol! As a retired engineer, all that hydraulics made sense. Did you make sure the hydraulic oil met the machine specs? That loose plug should have an O-ring under it.
Bill
Well I didn't answer it yet...lol...I just thought that might help me hear it ringing...hahahaha
Hi Dan Nice Video I would have Ran a couple of logs Threw The Japa365 after you refilled the Hydrologic Fluid because the force of the Ram pushing Up to Split your logs you'll be able to See if you have any leaks vs just Running it with No Pressure with No logs
Yep I did....just off camera. 👍
When designing the hydraulic tank they could have put the fill tube to the outside so they wouldn’t have to remove bolts and lift panels.., seems like a lot of work to fill the tank this way. Cheers
I'll need to see the Japa hit 88mph to verify the Flux capacitor is genuine and not a cheap, inoperable, knock-off.
This is true...maybe I'll attempt that next time I go to Rick's woodyard...hahahaha
"This is not a how to" 😂😂
I was waiting to see if you were going to blow them wood shavings out 👍
I think Yapa should go back to the drawing board and make access to the fill cap easier. That looks like a real pain in the arse to fill.
How often does the chain need to be sharpened?
🤭 I bet granny on the Hillbilly’s would like funnel. 🤭
Those deer think they own the place
🎉
I think you should start feeding the deer!
I’m sure he already does.
I feed them eye candy all day long! 💪😆
@@Back40Firewood and that explains why they are always hungry. 🦌 🤤🫵
The metric bolts make sense - it's European, after all - but 17mm? Not 16? 😂...Finns, man. They're like the Insane Clown Posse of the engineering world 😂🪓👍🇦🇺
Omg stay focused kid
Who cares about the matching box...😅
You should see if you can pet a deer that would be interesting.
If you don’t know what you’re doing why are you making a video there’s your sign
