I like your videos and learn a lot from but I was thinking about coming to tmc and is the orientation hard to pass and is it a gd company to work for as a starter that already have there CdL ?
Orientation is not hard. It’s just considered a 2 week job interview. Do as your instructed to do and you won’t have any problems. It’s a lot of hands on and classroom stuff but not hard. You get a better understanding once you are released to your trainer.
Things been slow at Estes too mang. I got a regular route from Carolina - Ohio and back pulling doubles but it gets canceled sometimes due to lack of freight. Love your videos mang , I have never pulled flatbed but you make it look so easy and neat and I like your professional mannerisms.
I gotcha, all Ltl carriers are pretty slow at the moment it seems. I have been at the E for 8 years, it’s a good place to work, definitely not as fun as what you get to do at TMC though. Keep up the good work mang, you motivate me to be more professional in what I do. I tell folks all the time now “slow is smooth, smooth is fast!”

From what I've learned is that during downtines getting paid by mile is some times better than % ( during weak load seasons). Not sure if that helps you or not brother, I would run you last months #'s and compare and contrast. Thank you for your experience it's invaluable to me as I take my journey

However,from researching the railroad CSX, I know that they’re headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, and they bought Quality Carriers in 2020, which is a tanker company. I’m not sure if they have a QC terminal in Jacksonville, but that’s near where you stay. I don’t know if they’re a good outfit to work for, though. Like I said, I don’t know trucking, I’m just a fan of it, and of your channel.

Biggest thing I’ve noticed going home every week affects my loads. A lot of it I can’t control but it is what it is.

After doing soo many you can kind of eyeball it. If it’s not right, the loaders usually move it 😉
