    Blk 251 Pasir Ris, 201 Kim Tian and 925 Yishun have these kinds left. Highly recommended to film because they might be gone in the future

    3:12 seems that the fancy door leading to the VIP lobby is not replaced yet, unlike Blk 710 AMK. Also good to see that the exact same table and chair on the first floor is still there since the drama was shot

    The old lifts served 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21 and 24?

      I believe so.

    A lot of these late 80s lifts got replaced within less than 20 years of install!

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, and then we have other HDB lifts that got LUPed only after they were over 35 years old, like some of the Telok Blangah Fuji’s which got removed/replaced after they were 35-37 years old, and the Lengkok Bahru Hitachi’s got replaced only after 43 years (though that one was apparently not under lup as they were rental flats)

    There is a misconception: The view deck is on the 26th floor, not the 25th. The 25th floor is empty. Both the 25th and 26th floors are 🔒.

    • @tswub
      @tswub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Screw those locked floors I bet they're just empty areas collecting dust and abandoned

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Crazy how did you find out it’s the 26th floor? Since normally the VIP lobby is only on floor above the highest residential floor, which is in this case 24

      VIP lobbies kinda useless now

    • @sgstuff1152
      @sgstuff1152 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      they barely get used nowadays
      especially with covid

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sg stuff yes, but VIP lobbies in old blocks would probably never used every again. Blk 710 AMK’s VIP lift lobby is full of bird shit on the stairs leading up to the lobby, so I’m guessing that place was not used to host foreign dignitaries since around the late 1990s. In 1989 queen elizabeth visited 710 AMK’s VIP lobby. But for now due to covid even newer vip lobbies would not be used for a while.

    Also seems that all the surrounding blocks recieved the older model with the Potong Pasir type of indicator instead of the early 1990s/late 1980s type of fujitec with a 7 segment indicator. Probably because fujitec still had existing stock of parts for the older regular one door model, but for this vip block that was special since it needed double doored and enlarged lifts, they had no choice but to use new parts instead of using the typical mid 1980s masionette fujitec parts, so this block was lucky enough to get the new model

    Did the original lift serve the vip floor?
    It’s a pity that the block got the very 1st batch of LUP in 2001. Blocks that got LUP/MuP before 2005 generally don’t have pics of the previous lift or them before the additional lift shafts were added.

      Perhaps u couldve checked from the 24th floor whether there was any landing on the 25th
      Sometimes they have a 25th floor button on the first floor then remove it later (blk 417 bedok)
