  • Took me a few late nights to finally finish editing this. Enjoy the video! (Sorry if it is too draggy, timelines are provided for better convenience)
    This video particularly focuses more on the last remaining old elevators of Ang Mo Kio which might be replaced anytime soon. All of the elevators were originally Fujitec.
    0:00 Block 314 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    All three elevators were majorly modernized under Main Upgrading Programme by EM in 1994 and 1995 to serve from floors 1 to 11. In 2011, Lifts B and C were replaced by EM (Shenyang BLT) to additionally serve the 12th floor.
    3:06 Block 343 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    All three elevators were modernized by EM under Main Upgrading Programme in 1994-1995 as well, but still served floors 1,7,11 and remained one-door as well. In 2011, two of the one-door elevators were indirectly replaced by additional EM-BLT installations and only one elevator in the original shaft was directly replaced.
    4:15 Block 128 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    8:55 Block 127 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    13:27 Block 126 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    Original elevators were labeled Lift A and B. In 2002 under Interim Upgrading Programme, Lift A was refurbished (still serving the same floors), Lift B was replaced, both done by Fujitec. In 2014, two additional elevators were installed at unserved wings of the block. Thereafter, Lifts A and B were re-labeled as Lifts B and C.
    18:00 Block 125 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6
    Elevators replaced in 2002 under Interim Upgrading Programme by Fujitec.
    18:12 Block 124 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6
    Elevators replaced in 2002 under Interim Upgrading Programme by Fujitec. In 2014, two additional elevators were installed at unserved wings of the block. Thereafter, Lifts A and B were re-labeled as Lifts B and C.
    18:28 Block 123 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6
    Originally having three one-door Fujitec elevators. All of them were replaced by Otis in the late-1990s. In 2012, Sigma replaced Lift C as it did not serve the top floor.
    18:37 Block 120 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
    Original elevators were labeled Lift A and B. In 2002 under Interim Upgrading Programme, Lift A was refurbished (still serving the same floors), Lift B was replaced, both done by Fujitec. In 2014, two additional elevators were installed at unserved wings of the block. Thereafter, Lifts A and B were re-labeled as Lifts B and C.
    22:19 Block 712 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6
    Refurbished by EM in the mid-1990s to blue interior with replaced interior fixtures, ventilator and lighting.
    ________________________________________
    In my personal opinion I felt that Block 120's one-door elevator was the least appealing to ride on. Its buzzer is extremely loud, its ventilator was not working and it made unsatisfying screeching noises several times.

    Good Afternoon everyone! Neo Boon Hao here! Blks 120/126/127/128 AMK (one door) Fujitec (Lift B) has finally shut down around September 2023 for Lift Replacement Programme to replace into brand new 2024 Shanghai Fujitec (Lift B) under SLRP to serve all floors (1 to 11)!

    Well bad news for 712 AMK. Lift B under replacement for now, Lift A might be not be around for long. You guys need to film this hidden gem ASAP. Otherwise you will miss your chance to experience a 70's Fujitec.

    Recently just visited, Blk 120 lift refused to level at 1st floor on it's way down from 10th floor so I got almost stuck so I had to pressed 6 instead to go back up and step out of the lift.
    But the door still managed to open when coming down from 6 and not 10.

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Should be, the most original 1970s hdb lift left. Because Blk 120, 126-128 amk Fujitec are from 1978 but got a much heavier upgrade than Blk 712 amk. Blk 712 amk is the only hdb lift left to still have incandescent light bulb indicators still in use.

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Look at 24:25 you cannot find that sight anywhere else in Singapore. I find it pretty satisfying to see the light bulb for the call button slowly decrease in brightness as it turns off. The 4th floor is the only floor to have a single call button without a colour filter so you can see the bright orange-yellow light turning off when the lift arrives. Regular hdb Fujitec residential lifts from the 1970s didn’t have the red and green colour filters for the call buttons.

      For the EM lift at Blk 314, quite a number of places have a similar model still in place
      For the IUP refurbished/modernised 1970s-mid 80s Fujitecs type (found in Blk 12X AMK which are from 1978), these are the locations.
