I am so enjoying your videos! I am planning to hike the PCT in 2031 in memory of my late son. Watching your videos as well as others both motivates me and educates/preps me! Thx for sharing.
@@sharamckinney575 I am very sorry to hear about your son. Thank you for the kind words about the videos. I hiked the trail in memory of my aunt, whose wise words motivated me to finally jump on this grand adventure, after dreaming of it for years. I’m rooting for you on a 2031 PCT completion!
Ive hiked 1000 miles of the Appalachian trail in sections. I am not a fast hiker, but I don't want it to be about miles. I want to be able to enjoy the trip.
Your Content helps me reliving my 760 miles on the PCT in 23! Thank you so much for loading this up. I really enjoy every minute of it. May I ask, how old you are?
I’m glad to hear! Thank you for watching. I turned 32 a couple days after getting off trail. How about yourself? Which section did you do and do you plan on getting back on the trail for the rest?
@@carlblanchet I made it from Campo to Mt. Whitney. Almost to the top, but turned around due to not coping well with the altitude surprisingly. This led to a 2 week off-trail time, including a stay at the west side of the Sierra mountains, a visit of Yosemite, and concluded in a flip to Cascade Locks to tackle Washington. However, those two weeks completely broke my experience, making me decide to quit and turn back home, where other duties waited for me. This was my first day-to-day hiking experience and I loved it. Now I am waiting for a time in the next 10 years, where I can retry this monumental adventure :) Looking forward to all your content the next weeks :)
@ thanks for sharing and sorry to hear about the complications but it sounds like you still had a great time! I’m rooting for you to get back out there when the time is right to continue the adventure! Thank you! 😁 just posted the new episode this morning!
bro you getting blistered all the time algorithm brought me here but I'll save you drop those lame shoes and get Vibram Spyridon EVO, V-Trail 2.0, and V-Alpha - now you can carry a few pairs (maybe even get one size up on some of them so you can switch into a better fitting shoe in the afternoon depending on how much your particular feet swell on extended hikes not affiliated, I just hate crappy shoes for running around in the outdoors I bet Vibram would sponsor you too, if you asked them and showed how you're regularly uploading content - just make sure your camera points at your feet every now and then and take time to express gratitude that so many of the old issues are gone that you forget to express gratitude sometimes and to take a moment just to enjoy things *not* hurting or torn up
Thank you for the advice! The blisters were definitely pretty bad.. This was my first time trying the Altra shoes. I will take a look at the ones you mentioned and trying to get a sponsorship is a great idea. I appreciate your comment. Cheers
What a fantastic episode man! You captured this so professionally! Narration is great as well
@@ervinslens thanks man! So glad you liked it. I appreciate the kind words! Happy holidays

@@brendafrost7001 That’s awesome! Would you recommend the trail? That’s the best way to do it if you ask me.

I used a Hyperlite 55L on the CDT and it was very uncomfortable on my shoulders; constantly trying to adjust to relieve the pain.
I had the exact same experience. I met several people who did not experience this, somehow. But I would not use it again next time.
Another great video! What camera and audio gear were you using?
Thank you so much! Everything while on trail was recorded with an iPhone 15 pro.
