2016 Challenger Scat Pack with Dynomax race bullets

- After getting the mid mufflers swapped to the Dynomax mini race bullets, I decided to stick the Go Pro on the rear panel between the tail lights and go for a drive. This is a compilation of different types of driving...slow speed, moderate acceleration, up/down shifts, and some WOT blasts. Head/earphone users beware....the WOT parts are LOUD...you were warned...lol. Sit back and enjoy the sounds of a 392 Hemi singing the song of our people.

This is how you do an exhaust video. I'd only ask for a "before" sample.
Erick Kinnee I wish I had thought about doing a stock vs dynomax driving vid, but it never crossed my mind at the time. But, I did compare them at startup, idle, and some revs in another vid.

Thank ya....and they do sound good at idle. One thing I noticed about the mid muffler change, it has a deeper tone at idle than the stock mufflers...kind of surprised me, considering how small the Dynomax are compared to the stockers. Hoping to get back to the track this weekend and try for a few more 11 sec passes on the stock tires, this time with the Go Pro running...lol.

Yeah, it's funny when I see posts in different forums or FB groups about how their cars are locked in the garage, or doing a mid hibernation startup....and I'm planning on going to the track. Price you pay for leaving in the snow belt...lol. I know one of the Mopar shops has a ported intake they sell, and it's not that pricey. Figure that with a ported t/b will be a stealthy mod for a few ponies. Also planning on a Z Automotive Tazer until I get the new pcm/tuner....SRT Track mode will be interesting.

Ain't that the truth. I drive mine daily, so I get to have fun whenever..lol. Only weak point of the car is the skinny stock tires....dunno who at Dodge thought a 245 tire on a 485hp car would be a good idea..lol. At least I have the F1 summer tires, not the All Seasons, and they do hook decent at the track.
This actually sounded really good. I only have the 5.7 Hemi, so I hope mine will sound as good as yours or, at least, good enough. That was enjoyable to listen to.

Did you leave the stock resonators?
If you mean the resonators under the bumper, those were still stock. I only swapped out the mid mounted units.

Thanks, and I was in Sport mode using the paddles. That way I was able to control the revs for better sound.
Were these the minis (24250)?

Will dynomax muffler make the idle sound heavier? I love the muffler delete dump truck idle...
Valentino Chen It does help with the straight pipe rasp that I've heard on muffler delete cars. The bullets give it a deep grumble at idle, low rpm. But, it snarls above part throttle, and screams at wot. It just doesn't have the harsh tone of the muffler delete, big plus for a daily driver.
Lonnie Aspinwall ordered two sets in, gonna install them together with another Scatpack, it will be fun lol. I hated that I didn't get amazon prime two day shipping cuz now I can't wait for a week!

Lonnie Aspinwall Thanks man! I ordered mine from jeggs this morning. everybody else said they were on backorder. I sure hope I like these vs mid muffler delete. it's hard to tell listening to a video, but based on the feedback I've seen I'm going to take a chance with these. I'm getting them installed on Wednesday , so I'll let you know how it turns out. Take it easy!
You will like these more than a delete. You get a better tone at low/mid throttle, but it still screams at WOT. I had a few compliments on how good the car soundec at the track Saturday. Just driving normal, its barely different from stock, a touch more volume/grumble.

The pops/cracks on downshifts are awesome....no loss of power either.
Just subscribed. I currently have the mid muffler delete on my16 392 Charger, overtime I do get tired of the cheap loud WOT sound... and people been saying no power loss, I definitely felt low end torque loss after driving my friends stock 392 back to back. Looking forward to install these mini bullets, have you noticed any power loss? And does it get obnotirously loud cold start like mid muffler delete?
I didn't notice any power loss, and it still has a very loud bark during cold start....lol. It might not be as obnoxious as the straight muffler delete, but it's still pretty dang loud.

Thanks for the Vid! A couple questions, how does it sound when it drops to 4 cylinders? Stock has that awkward pitch, does it sound the same, better, worse? If you had to guess, how much louder than stock is it during normal driving and WOT? Your clips sound great, thanks for all the driving styles, it's just hard to tell how much louder overall it sounds.
Your welcome. It's actually not that much louder on the inside during normal cruising, just a slightly louder grumble. But, turn the radio up to a normal listening level, and you don't hear it at all. The only time I noticed it being any louder in 4 cyl mode is as it loads the engine climbing an overpass, just before dropping out of MDS. During WOT...well, it's a good bit louder than stock..lol. If you watch the 1st muffler swap vid with the before/after clips, you can tell where it's different, and similar, to stock. If you watch the new track vid I just posted, you can really hear how loud it is WOT...it screams, but not in a nasty harsh way.
Oh, its a definite change. Be prepared for the cold starts...they are borderline obnoxious with that initial bark..lol. If you have neighbors, they will know when you fire her off. Driving normal is slighly louder, but crack the throttle and she will roar.
Question sir did you keep the resonators on or remove those also?

Vick Tavitian resonator is still on trust me. If not it would be straight pipes and LOUD as shit. Cause that's what I got basically with XR1 muffler borla

None that I've noticed. Cruise speed is almost same as stock...gotta love the active exhaust calming things down.
Lonnie Aspinwall I have a 2015 Challenger SRT 392 and the first thing I did was the muffler delete due to all the people saying how great it is. I went back within 24 hours and had them re-installed due to the MDS drone and power loss. Maybe it's a back pressure thing. I was thinking about doing a different muffler.
I didn't notice any loss...car runs the same as before, just sounds better IMO. As for the drone...I put roughly 400-450 miles on her today doing a road trip, various driving conditions, and never found drone of any consequence...just the load/mds I mentioned.
Did you actually run it at the track getting the same numbers or does it just feel the same? Btw, it sounds fantastic
Did you delete the resonators?
Big da Kine Nope, left the rear resonators in place after seeing people on FB, forums complain about drone. The resos aren't restrictions to flow, so no reason to remove them.
