George Charpentier, 1894 - 1975 - World Champion French boxer awarded the "Croix de Guerre and medaille Militaire for his service as aviator in WWI.....ancestor.

My ancestors, the Charpentier, left France during the French Revolution wearing servant's clothing and pinning money to their undergarments. They boarded a ship to Canada to an all speaking French community Quebec. Many Charpentiers still reside in Canada, but some moved to Michigan while others returned to France. All the males in my family are musically gifted and I am an artist by trade. The one outstanding facial feature of the Charpentier .... the nose.
