Just got my new CNC and I'm quickly learning that I'll be using it to make more tools for myself than product for other people. LOL! This one is awesome. I know what I'll be doing this afternoon.
What type of material are you using for your waste board on the x-carve??? I'm currently using 3/4 in mdf, but notice that you are using a different material. So i'm curious to know what it is and where you purchased it from. We have a lot of humidity here in the south, so it's hard to keep a truly flat surface. Thank you for and help.......
My waste board is made of particle board. I have found that it is more stable than MDF. I live in southern Louisiana and have high humidity also. I have never had a problem and it is over three years old. Thank you very much.
Would there be any changes to the size of the jig for finding center on 12" to 16" rounds? I would lengthen the middle leg to 8" or 9". Even though watching your videos makes a lot more work for me please don't stop!! 😃😂😉🙃
Great tool Paw Paw. After viewing your video, I went into Easel and fabricated one. BTW, this is a great Christmas gift for my wood working friends. Thank you so much for another great video. Reg from Chicago. Stay safe and healthy.
Nice addition to the shop I 3 D printed one. Suggestion: Not all of us has a CNC Router if your video is about using the CNC maybe you could put (CNC) in the title. Thanks.😀🛫
Hi Paw Paw! I am getting better with my Fox Alien 4040 XE! I am having an issue engraving the molded acrylic because of the variance in the thickness. Have you ever tried the spring loaded diamond drag bits on this machine? Is it possible to run this machine without the spindle running? I don't know if you remember the problem I had with the bit not going down far enough , but, when I went to "Home" the machine the other day, the Z axis hit the top and started grinding terribly and the machine just stopped. What was happening was the Z limit stop bracket was set to high for the limit switch to fully engage and of coarse this also keeps the lower limit higher along with it. I loosened the 2 screws on the stop bracket and lowered it about 1/2" and now the machine is happy! Also thought you wood get a kick out of hearing that I found out how sharp those pyramid V bits are. I was mounting my board and managed to "biopsy" the back of my left hand. Won't do that again LOL! Thanks for your help and videos!!
Hello again, you have many questions. First, I have not tried a spring loaded drag bit. I would say yes it is very possible to use one with the machine. Second, yes, you can run the machine without running the spindle. Not a problem at all. Third, when you home the machine, it does not stop and creates the grinding noise. Look at the limit switch. You have a problem there either the wire is loose, broken or missing. The limit switch itself could be broken or loose. For whatever reason the switch is not being activated and causing the z axis to attempt to continue to try and find the switch
@@PawPawsWorkShop I think you don't understand. It's ok. You are another one which causes me to make a tutorial about that isue industrial or homemade.
MADE IN USA ALWAYS POWERFUL N BEAUTIFUL
Couldn’t agree more. Thank you!
I'll be making one of these for my wife. Thank you for your tips. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

That is awesome! Welcome to the wonderful world of CNC
Que buen tip Paw Paw, muy util y practico muchas gracias y estare visitandote mas para seguir aprendiendo
Thank you very much.
Great idea, I'm going to make one
Awesome!
Ahhh, the joys of making your own tools. It's so wonderful. What a great idea.
Yes, it is great to make your own tools. If they break, just make another.
Love your videos my friend. I've been recommending your videos to others.
Awesome, thank you! I really appreciate that.
Really clever. Great tips for design in easel too. Useful tool to have around. Thanks for the great video! Hope all is well.
Thank you very much. I hope you and your family are doing well.

No other changes would be necessary except to make it out of a stronger material so that it does not flex. Thanks for watching

Awesome! FYI, I put a link for the project in the description. Yes, a perfect Christmas gift. Thank you very much. Please be safe.

Great suggestion!
Paw Paw’s WorkShop Thank You! 😀🛫
Great Tip Paw Paw Love watching I wish you would do more with easel for us to learn how to work with it
I have done many videos using Easel. What would you like to see?

You are learning fast. Keep up the good work
Amazing!
Thank you very much.
Hi thanks for the vid. Is there one for a rectangle?
Yes, a ruler. Just draw a line from corner to corner
Thats my next tool...
Awesome! I wish I had made this tool a long time ago. Thank you very much.
Hi, My xcarve cuts on the side x a few mm more than the drawing, why?
It sounds like you need to calibrate your machine. Check out my video on how to do the calibration. th-cam.com/video/UHd9HgHDqMQ/w-d-xo.html
Great tool, just deduct the size of the pencil mark and you have the true dead center.
Thank you very much. Excellent point
Nothing special. The same issue like many others even industrial products.
Yep, nothing special except it is extremely accurate and FREE. Best kind of tool
@@PawPawsWorkShop Exaqctly that accurate is the issue because IT"S NOT !!!!!!
Granted, it not metal and being wood it can move. But for my purpose it works great!
