I wish Harry would have given Ron some money on the sly in Goblet of Fire for some updated dress robes for the ball! I think it would have helped Ron’s frame of mind, because his robes were definitely hideous!!!!
The Potters were decended from an old pure blood line....most of those lines were wealthy. It makes sense that Harry inherited the Potter wealth when his father died.
They had money and put it toward experiences and not stuff. Ron’s first year the three went to Romania at Christmas. Ron’s 3rd the lot of them went to Egypt. They managed the World Cup. The kids were far apart and not all at Hogwarts at the same time.
I don’t think Harry had to work at all. He did became an Auror just because felt it was the right thing to do - and he obviously liked the job. With all those money he inherited (imagine how rich was the Black family), he could have lived a very wealthy life
