    The sheer drop beyond those pillars (5.28) looks jolly dangerous! With the tower being so clearly unstable, do they ever ring that great bell?

  • @hallobre

    Noticed the swastikas on that bell? Those are from a time before WWII, when swastikas weren’t associated with racism or antisemitism. Just an Aryan symbol that is found in ancient America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

    Interesting video, thanks :) They say that it was leaning when they put the 3rd level on it and that it took 200yrs to build because it was built on soft sand and clay yet there are 2 buildings within close proximity that are multiples the size of the tower and are as high. Hmmmz. Id hate to think how long it took them to build the church at the pace they were going at... The church and the dome behind it dont seem to show signs of falling down due to soft sand and clay so why is the tower leaning? The geography would be unlikely to change so drastically in a few feet given its location so why build it there. Obviously they knew not to build on clay and soft sand any idiot could see that even if they got to the first part of construction. Its a very confusing site and why its famous given the thousands of towers built in Italy which have all now been lost because they fell over, fell apart or were knocked down. So why all the hype about this one?

    • @mikesmicroshop4385
      @mikesmicroshop4385 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many large churches and cathedrals took over 100 years to build! The tower has a much smaller foot print as such the weight is concentrated on a much smaller area than the church next to it! Also the consistency of the ground can and does change sometime abruptly, that is why these days for all large construction projects ground stability studies are done! In my area there was a hotel being built, the ground study showed bedrock 3 or 4 feet down, and about half way across the site it dropped off like a cliff underground for 230 feet! They had to drive piers on that side to keep the building from collapsing once it was built!

      @@aaaricmondroofing1703 Exactly! This is true Old School design and Tower(s) To The Dome construction. This is the same design found in several areas of the world, and ironically, those other towers lean too! Has something to do with the overall design of the 'machine' we call the so called 'churches' etc... Towers to the Dome... Perhaps the leaning tower creates a electromagnetic tension for the Dome... the towers are offset a bit too - from being in line with the front of the building to the dome... still figuring the old systems out...

    The tower seems weirdly placed to me. You can see the other building perfectly in line with the cathedral. But the Pisa Tower is at more or less 45º from the cathedral. Kinda looks like there's another tower missing (for the symmetry), or that there's something I'm missing, cos I definetely don't believe that the placing is random, and it's far from the best possible location in terms of aesthetics (in some pics you can see the tower and the cathedral look crammed together)

      @mikesmicroshop4385 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He did not really say anything new! He acts like those translations are recent, they are not by any stretch of the imagination! If you paid any attention to history at all you would have probably known all of it already! If you are going to put yourself out there as an educator, you need to spend more time learning how to read, pronounce words correctly, its not like there are not hundreds of resources available to look up how to say things! It is most despicable when he says peoples names wrong or mispronounces places, in fact is is disrespectful to people to do so! Most of these guys see something posted some where and make a video. They have know idea how old the post is, how many times it has already been posted by others, or what they are even talking about in many cases!

    • @mikesmicroshop4385
