Honestly correct, also though Naruto has been using a forbidden jutsu since he was about 10-13....multishadow clone jutsu is a forbidden jutsu too. Just a fun fact. Fun fact: Naruto’s most popular jutsu, multiple shadow clone jutsu, is also a forbidden jutsu- Naruto is able/allowed to use it because of his MASSIVE amount of chakra both including Kurama and without (because Naruto’s an Uzamaki). It was forbidden (and almost impossible to learn) for almost everybody else though, because of how much chakra it uses in one go- exceptions to this being some of the higher-level shinobi, like Kakashi for instance.
Know what I just realized? With 6 Paths chakra, he could add all kinds of elements to base rasenshuriken, but the fact it was still rasenshuriken meant he would have actually been adding 2 elements to rasengan. For instance during the 4th War, he'd added wind and lava to rasengan to make a lava rasenshuriken, vs just lava which I'd imagine would've just created a lava ball rasengan. This is the only way it'd make sense that Boruto's vanishing rasengan (made with lightning nature) has a totally different effect from anything Naruto's made.
He does this actually he has a magnet release rasenshuriken a lava version too most of his kit is shadow clones the rasengan then variations of the rasengan go look it up it's wild
Which is kind of a plot hole, and a lack of creativity on kishimotos part. If adding wind to the rasengan creates the rasenshuriken, then other elements should change the form in different ways, giving him a wide range of different rasengan based attacks. Thats the one part of borutos story that i think is genuinely creative writing. When boruto adds lightning to the rasengan, it becomes invisible. I think kishimoto squandered Narutos potential by boxing in his abilities like that. And let's not even talk about how he doesn't use any other ninjutsu. He could easily use wind style techniques like wind blade or vacuum blast, but big blue ball it is I guess.

A forbidden jutsu is not called that because people can't use them it is a classification of jutsu that is as dangerous to its wielder as it is to the enemy which is why the shadow clone jutsu is classified as a forbidden jutsu because anyone who doesn't have a big enough chakra pool can easily over exert themselves and we all know what happens when you deplete your chakra
Maybe the wielder needs to have a stable chakra base. The cells of a shadow clone would break down rapidly. If you punch them, they vanish, so something as powerful as this technique would be out its control. Does that make sense?
It affected him the first time when he used it on Kakuzu, which damaged his arm and would eventually disable him from using his chakra overall. But Sage mode training allows him to bypass the damage, since he throws it and doesn't get caught in its impact

The TNJ can't be blocked. It takes place on a separate plane from reality. It allows the caster to communicate with the target, complete with flashbacks composed of the target's own memories. All this can take place in an instant, while a battle is taking place. With enough applications, it can cause nearly any opponent to eventually switch sides. In many ways, the TNJ is more versatile than the Tsukuyomi. It isn't quite as strong initially, but it doesn't require much chakra. It can be recast as many times as necessary.
There're a lot of powerful enemies now that can deal with the Rasenshuriken so easily that I sometimes forget how powerful and devastating this technique is.
The only people who wondered this were the people who weren’t paying attention when Tsunade inspected his arm after he first used it. She explicitly banned him from using it because he was damaging himself on a molecular level. That’s why he spent so much time secretly training to throw it when he was learning sage jutsu.
To be that guy for a monent, the jutsu doesn't necessitate a clone. Naruto was literally just so shit at chakra control he needed not just a clone to stabalize his chakra still but an additional one to add their wind affinity too.
Didn't Kakashi say the 4th couldn't add an element to the rasengan but naruto could by using a clone. I'd think this means that it wasn't really a skill issue if the 4th had problems with it and it does need at least one clone.
@Hunterdear iirc Kakashi noted Naruto's technique of adding another clone made it easier. That it was smart. He took the concentration and labor demanded of him by concentrating, containing, and then injecting different states of chakra mold. But yes even the 4th struggled to add elemental chakra but I believe it was Kakashi who was more interested in and actively attempted to until he made lightning blade.
There's also the fact that the 4th died young, I'm pretty sure the elders said he was younger than Kakashi when he took the title which was shortly before his death. If that's the case then he barely had time to develop the next stage of the technique. Especially when you consider how long it must've taken him to develop and master the 1st stage. Remember that he created the rasengan entirely from scratch with the only reference being the Bijuudama, something that only 9 people in the world were capable of using at the time. Meanwhile, by the time Naruto picked up the technique (with the help of 2 mentors, while Minato had to figure all this out himself) the process behind its creation had already been broken down, studied, and taught to other people. Plus picking it up at an even younger age than his dad gave him more time to develop the jutsu. Basically, it was a skill issue plus a lack of time and teaching resources. Like the other guy said: Naruto overcame the first two hurdles by dividing the labor between clones.
It helped a lot that he had the nine tailed fox within him. Anyone else probably would get permanent damage the first or second time they used it, if they didn't have exceptional healing abilities.
The only reason he can use it is that sage mode and kcm2 give him a massive healing buff making him resistant to the damage. KCM gives him the ability to use it separate from his main body.
Oh! Never thought of that. I wish we saw more of this in Boruto but with all ninjutsu nerfed, it sucks that we don't - even though he uses some of his rasen shuriken variations
The old Rasen Shuriken was an incomplete technique. After Kakuzu, Naruto never use the Rasen Shuriken as a melee technique, but as a thowable technique. The only exception was in Naruto Vs Kurama fight, where they were fighting inside Naruto's inside, that meaned Naruto would not get injured if it use it as he used to with Kakuzu.
Tsunade: After careful consideration of this technique I deem it to be a forbidden jutsu. You cannot use it from now on got it?! Naruto: Dang, that’s tragic *proceeds to spam Rasenshuriken*
Techniques are forbidden (if i remember correctly) if they are offensive in nature like edo tensei, or more commonly if the jutsu is damaging or dangerous to user beyond acceptable levels.
have people forgotten that his hand gets broken after using Rasenshuriken on kakuzu, he spends ages getting it healed and then learns to throw it and also learn sage mode which allowed him to decimate the 6 paths of pain.
Glad Naruto learn to handle nature chakra, which gives him a mayor boost in defence. During training and Naruto unlocked nature release for the first time, Naruto fell off the spikes he was training on with minimal damage, a drop that would had killed him without the nature energy/chakra. With that Naruto could wield the Rasenshurikens without damaging his own arms.
the rasengan was so dangerous that enemies coudl receive a 100 of them and nothing ever happened to the big bad guys, they could still heal and use chakra later on
He solved it with safe mode though his cellular bonds were tight enough that his cells were no longer damaged by the rasen shuriken but regardless he learned how to throw them and no longer needed to use it for melee , but in sage mode he still could
There’s a reason why kishimoto never allowed Naruto to clash a rasenshruiken head on with sasuke’s lame ahhh chidori . It would kill sasuke in an instant
they categorize forbidden jutsu if that jutsu is dangerous to the caster/user . ex. Kagebunshin (can drain too much chakra ) reanimation (use own life to "revive" other) the death reaper seal technique (use your own life to seal other) it is alrdy stated by kakashi or tobirama ( i forgot who said it) it is indeed forbidden but doesnt mean that they are not allow to use or learn it.
From what I recall, there should've been more permanent damage done to Naruto but because of him having Kurama sealed inside him, it wasn't nearly as bad due to his regeneration ability. However, continued use of it in that way would cause permanent damage regardless of Kurama. It was only until after he mastered Sage Mode where he brought it back cause he was able to throw it eliminating the damage caused by being in such close proximity from the initial burst.
If you watched the show you shouldnt be confused. The origional rasenshuriken was deemed to dangerous for the user as it could potentially cause the same amount of damage to the user as its target and that damage was cellular, like a handheld nuclear core radiation type dangerous. If you havent watched the show then i guess this short would be helpful.
Literally no one was wondering. No one else even attempts it. Anyone paying close enough attention to wonder why that is would have caught the specific, detailed explanation Tsunade gave for why she was forbidding it.
There are 2 cons of this technique : 1. Huge amount of controlled chakra is required + at least few years of even mastering MINI version of that (lets remind outselfs that Naruto used clones which rapidly boosted his knowledge and experience with this jutsu) 2. Close shot with this jutsu is nearly deadly for both sides, user and target, even if you would survive that hit then it would basically destroy all chakra cells in your body, for shinobi its nearly key element of existence.

Oh! Never thought of that. I wish we saw more of this in Boruto but with all ninjutsu nerfed, it sucks that we don't - even though he uses some of his rasen shuriken variations
This very topic was discussed after Kakuzu's death
👍👍
The Rasenshuriken was also only Forbidden until he fully completed it to be able to throw it.
Im genuinely surprised that the prosthetic arm in the Boruto series didnt make it easier for him to use it without damaging himself
I wish i could watch naruto again like it was my first time watching it :(
Shadow Clones were also forbidden. That’s why they were in the scroll he stole in the first episode where he bodies Mezuki.
Tsunade: After careful consideration of this technique I deem it to be a forbidden jutsu. You cannot use it from now on got it?!
Naruto: Dang, that’s tragic *proceeds to spam Rasenshuriken*
I think everyone forgot Naruto’s had a healing factor that negates the downside of this drawback
That's cap they named it "kinjutus" seeing how the 1st and 2nd hokage used " kinjutus" infinite darkness jutus
I mean the anime explained it pretty well the first time he used it. That's why he developed the ranged version. So he could minimize dmg to himself.
Techniques are forbidden (if i remember correctly) if they are offensive in nature like edo tensei, or more commonly if the jutsu is damaging or dangerous to user beyond acceptable levels.
Naruto in general: acting dumb
Naruto in battles: big brain time baby
😎😎
Perfect plot armor to introduce Sage Mode to Naruto 😁
Yeah 👍
Bruhhhh every mc have plot armor don't be a dumb
Naruto, expert in forbidden jutsu
👍
have people forgotten that his hand gets broken after using Rasenshuriken on kakuzu, he spends ages getting it healed and then learns to throw it and also learn sage mode which allowed him to decimate the 6 paths of pain.
it slices up veins of all kinds, including chakra, which means he'd never be able to channel chakra in his arms again if he kept using it.
It's forbidden because it's badass. Labeling it as forbidden seals the deal.
Yeah, I knew. I watched the episodes after he used it, when Tsunade explained it all..
Naruto v kakuzu
Tsunade's breakdown upon viewing the dead wig and his extensions😂
😂
When he physically touched it. That’s why he makes it hover.
naruto had a tendency to ignore those forbidden labels. multi shadow clone for example
You got the arm thing in reverse. He threw it only after Tsunade told him it was too dangerous to hold.
the rasengan was so dangerous that enemies coudl receive a 100 of them and nothing ever happened to the big bad guys, they could still heal and use chakra later on
Naruto’s whole playbook was forbidden, starting with his harem jutsu
😂the best jutsu
He solved it with safe mode though his cellular bonds were tight enough that his cells were no longer damaged by the rasen shuriken but regardless he learned how to throw them and no longer needed to use it for melee , but in sage mode he still could
There’s a reason why kishimoto never allowed Naruto to clash a rasenshruiken head on with sasuke’s lame ahhh chidori . It would kill sasuke in an instant
they categorize forbidden jutsu if that jutsu is dangerous to the caster/user .
ex. Kagebunshin (can drain too much chakra )
reanimation (use own life to "revive" other)
the death reaper seal technique (use your own life to seal other)
it is alrdy stated by kakashi or tobirama ( i forgot who said it)
it is indeed forbidden but doesnt mean that they are not allow to use or learn it.
And also, somewhere in his training on mount myoboku he said that with sage jutsu he can use the rasen shuriken
He end up perfecting it to be able to throw it in no time at all
From what I recall, there should've been more permanent damage done to Naruto but because of him having Kurama sealed inside him, it wasn't nearly as bad due to his regeneration ability. However, continued use of it in that way would cause permanent damage regardless of Kurama. It was only until after he mastered Sage Mode where he brought it back cause he was able to throw it eliminating the damage caused by being in such close proximity from the initial burst.
Bam Hashirama arm
Instead of creating clones and using them?
He could clone his strength and chakra.
Becoming super powerful.
I'm glad that people understand what "forbidden" means better than most content posters do. lol
Ohh!! Its having physics also 😮😮😮
I always thought the obvious answer was just let a clone hit it
Naruto’s strongest and most effective jutsu is actually sexy jutsu
If you watched the show you shouldnt be confused. The origional rasenshuriken was deemed to dangerous for the user as it could potentially cause the same amount of damage to the user as its target and that damage was cellular, like a handheld nuclear core radiation type dangerous.
If you havent watched the show then i guess this short would be helpful.
Have you ever wondered why Naruto was rejected by the whole village as a child?
Anyone the music in background? Sounded really catchy
I never wondered this as it was explained in the show.
Literally no one was wondering. No one else even attempts it. Anyone paying close enough attention to wonder why that is would have caught the specific, detailed explanation Tsunade gave for why she was forbidding it.
There are 2 cons of this technique :
1. Huge amount of controlled chakra is required + at least few years of even mastering MINI version of that (lets remind outselfs that Naruto used clones which rapidly boosted his knowledge and experience with this jutsu)
2. Close shot with this jutsu is nearly deadly for both sides, user and target, even if you would survive that hit then it would basically destroy all chakra cells in your body, for shinobi its nearly key element of existence.
This is labeled a kinjutsu in the very same episode it is explained why it is so. 😅
So for anyone to know it’s a kinjutsu, they would surely know why 😅
This was literally explained in either the same episode or the episode after he used it for the first time. Anyone who actually watched the show or read the manga would know that.
he only needed his clones to help cuz he couldn't multitask it's creation.
I miss the original Naruto
