Had a good laugh watching your review, thanks. )) Watched till the spoiler mark since I haven't read this one yet. Laymon had a bunch of those "maniac slicing and dicing everyone in the woods" type of stories (he was a camping enthusiast himself if i remember right), but I somehow missed most of those. It seems like very "80s slasher" kind of feel, so I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah man, it's a very fun read, and it has a good 'camping horror' feel to it, much like his earlier novel Dark Mountain. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have to say the best thing for me about this book is its title. It didn't go anywhere I hadn't been before with Laymon and everything that singles this book out isn't explored in a satisfying way. After reading so much Laymon this reads like a cutnpaste/checklist type of thing moreso than the other books. Surprised by the length of your review but I get it, if one reads it early enough in life and Laymon fandom it probably has quite an impact. It kept me turning pages so I can't say this book is bad or a waste of time, but there's a better story somewhere in there for sure.
Yeah, I think my affection for this book is definitely influenced by my first reading it as a teenager. Re-reading it now brings back the memories. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I would absolutely love, and laugh hysterically at, a "10 Most Unrealistic Richard Laymon Erections". Yes, please! :D
Great review and i would love a top 10 improbable Richard Laymon erctions since that would be a really funny video.
Thanks a lot! (and I really hope people watch my video before reading your comment or else what you just wrote is gonna appear weird as hell :))
