What a beautiful interpretation! I am in Bangkok on vacations. It is almost 10pm, and I opened a bottle of wine to listen to you playing this music again... Thanks a lot!
No one in the world could have wished for a better compliment!!!:) Here's a toast to you! Cheers!!:) Love and blessings to you, and please continue to enjoy beautiful music! I will never forget your kind compliment!!!
After I retired at age 65, I took up piano lessons, again. I say again because I've had piano lessons as a child but never pursued it or have forgotten it when I went to college. So in my piano class, the adult group "show off' their piece at the end of the semester. This was my piece. La Paloma, in memory of my mom. Our teacher, to my surprise, started singing the song, as if I was accompanying him! But you did it so well, it took me back in time. Enjoyed watching you play La Paloma. TY.
Thank you for your heart warming and beautiful comment! And congratulations on your performance!!:) Way bto go !! Thank you for writing , and please keep up the good work, and going from strength to strength! Happy piano playing!:)
My Dearest Steve, Thank you for your comment as well as for subscribing to my channel! I am honoured! I looked at the videos you shared on your own channel and was delghted to see how many passions we both share: The Royal Family, Health, Babies and Puppies etc. etc. Do stay in touch!:)
Dear Reuben, This is perhaps the most wonderful, encouraging and heart warming comment I have ever had!!! Thank you so much!! I'm glad it's contagious and you've caught it too!:) God Bless You, and Happy Piano Playing!:)
Thanks much. I enjoyed the video, including the useful & interesting narrative in the first half. I have listened to "La Paloma" since birth; my dad often played it (on LP vinyl) during parties or just casual listening. But, as Sean Smart said, you provide context to the music which results in a better appreciation of it!
You give so much more than just a musical experience, the history and culture are equally as important to me. You bring the music to life. I think this book is the first book I’ll buy when I have keys to play again and I’ll dedicate the practice of this song to you. This sounds like a lot of fun to play and learn.
I cannot think of better words to plagiarize than those of Sean Smart. Sarah, you really DO bring music to life! Your videos are so much more than an education… they ARE an experience. Thank you for all of the experiences to date, and as eagerly as you wait feedback from you’re viewers, we await the next experience. I truly hope, one day, to enjoy the experience in person!! Many thanks, continued success and good health!
Bravo!! I love it. I am teaching this to one of my students. I love how you play with so much feeling. I hope to be able to play like you as I age gracefully as well. What a wonderful gift it is to play piano and teach it as well.
Thank you, Lisa. Yes, your art will only improve with age and we are indeed blseed to both play as well as reach the piano! Your students are lucky to have a dedicated and musical teacher like you. More power to you! Where are you ?

Yes, thank you, "La Paloma" is a Habanera composed by Sebastien Iradier from Spain. Bt, let me just add, that la Habanera is a rhythm that comes from Cuba, from Habana, Cuba from where it gets its name.
