In January 1995, "Ensemble MUGEN" was formed, later transitioning to "Ensemble S" before officially beginning activities as "Ensemble NEO" in October 2020. All members are passionate about music, and almost everyone attends weekly practice. We feel the joy of being able to perform guitar ensembles.
[ From the opera "Madonna's Jewels" Intermezzo to Act 2 - Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari ]
Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, an Italian composer who composed numerous operas and instrumental works, is best known for this "Intermezzo to Act 2." His entire opera and other works are not frequently performed in recent years. The flowing melody over the accompaniment in 6/8 time has a distinctive impression with a foundation in 2/4 time, evoking the fluctuating romantic feelings of the male and female characters in the opera.

This work is by Brahms at the age of 27. The second movement, in Brahms' favored variation form, was later arranged for piano in the same year and dedicated to Clara Schumann on her birthday. It is known for being featured in Louis Malle's film "Les Amants," and is often performed as the second movement alone.
Enjoy the richly shaded, sweet melody often described as a musical love letter to Clara Schumann.

1995年1月にアンサンブルMUGEN結成、その後アンサンブルSを経て2020年10月にNEOとして活動を開始。メンバー皆が真に音楽好きの集団で、練習はほぼ皆出席。ギター合奏出来る喜びを感じています。　
本日の演奏曲目は、歌劇『マドンナの宝石』より第2幕への間奏曲と弦楽六重奏曲第1番より第2楽章です。

第2幕への間奏曲 　 ヴォルフ＝フェラーリ
エルマンノ・ヴォルフ＝フェラーリは多数のオペラや器楽曲を作曲したイタリアの作曲家ですが、そのうちもっとも有名なものがこの「第2幕への間奏曲」で、このオペラ全曲や他の作品は近年あまり演奏されることがありません。
　6/8拍子の伴奏の上に流れるメロディーは2/4拍子が基調となっており、オペラに登場する男女の揺れ動く恋心を彷彿とさせる印象的な一曲となっております。
弦楽六重奏曲第1番より、第2楽章 　　J・ブラームス
ブラームス27歳の作品。ブラームス得意の変奏曲形式のこの第2楽章は同年ピアノに編曲され、クララ・シューマンの誕生日に献呈されました。
ルイ・マル監督の映画『恋人たち』で用いられたことでも知られ、第2楽章単独で演奏される機会も多いです。
クララ・シューマンへの音楽によるラブレターとも言われている陰影に富んだ甘いメロディーをお楽しみください。
