I remember that cheese and can pork you are talking about. We use to go and pick it up on a schedule when I was growing up. My mother cooked with it and the cheese sandwitches were good too♥Mama made the best cookies from the oatmeal we got. Memories........
I remember the “government cheese”(that’s what we called it in Ohio) and the pork!! The pork came in a silver can with a pig on it and said pork. My aunt used to doctor that pork up and we loved it girl!!! 😂
We like to make individual meatloaf ... because everyone fights for the 'corner crustiness' LOL. We create mini loaves and cook them on a pan with raised sides so the oils dont spill everywhere (we get rid of the oil as it cooks). We use the same ingredients (we have tried salsa in it as well and it comes up goooooodddddd!) 😋 47:31 Javonne you always have me grinning when you insert the 'side eye' dog!

Focus hope didn’t really have a name is Kansas we just knew it as commodities. You would usually get it from a church and a lot of the packaging for items were black and white with a single word like ‘Pork’ or ‘beef’. I also have an aversion to instant potatoes as well as canned meats because of commodities.
Yes focus hope/government cheese is everything. We definitely put ours under the stove. Yes the aluminum pork and beef cans with the animals on there lol 😂 powdered eggs and milk, wheww chile. I’m from Flint. 😂 Gordon’s got the cheese, it’s branded different but still taste good in Mac.
