Great video, refreshing not to have heavy music blasting! Slick process throughout. Is the clear coat acrylic or cellulose? I use dyneema for the leash chord, the install is terrific.
Very nice work as always! May i ask you how you prepare / clean the board before hotcoating to prevent fisheyes? And are you using additives in the epoxy for hotcoating? Thank you!
@@roadmaster55 1000% use additive F, sanding is so much easier, I clean with 99.8% isopropyl alcohol (printer cleaner) it is by far the best way, u can also use acetone, not as good but ok 🤙🏼
@@jomosky good question, based on my experience this epoxy pour is so strong that the chance of an issue is minimal, now let’s say you hit a rock with your fin it is much better if the fin box will pull off alone then if it was glassed with fiberglass the damage will be greater, so it is ok to do it any way you like - I never had a problem with it 🤙🏼
I really like your lap marking tool!
Yes mate 🤙🏼 it really works great and fairly simple
Beautiful

@@richarddavies-scourfield8413 Hi, i think it is not one of them, just google X2 Clear Coat and you will see 🤙🏼
Hello, nice job as usual!! You never prepared the blank with filler micro ballon or other mix before glassing the fiber?
@@florenth7135 sure i did! I never glass a board WITHOUT one time spackle 🤙🏼

Hey Koby, what is that tool you used for the tape guide line?
It called the "Lap Master" a guy I used to buy stuff from design and printed it with 3D printer, he doesn't do that anymore 🤨
Brilliant tool 🤙🏼
very beautiful bro . is it gonna be a problem in the future if there is no any fiber glass layer on top of finbox?

@kobymaymonsurfboards7320 thanks for interesting answer, I never think about this way before. 🤙
Hey Koby what Kind is this at the end for a Spray ! Is it a Standard 2k Spray in Glosse or matt finish ?
I always use matte finish, if i want my board to gloss i do a gloss coat and sanding up to higher grit + water paper up to 3000 + polish
