    Guys, I expect to triple my 7 year investment in Nvidia over 2 years (maybe 4x in 3 years), while we are in this Tesla hole. Tesla remains my second largest holding. I will be happy to pull 1/3 of Nvidia to dump more in Tesla-once there is some indication we are close to moving again. To Jeff’s point, I will wait to see how the Tesla execution and sentiment looks..likely sometime next year. If it happens in 6 months, I just push a few buttons on the computer. I don’t want a dead portfolio. That’s what I’m experiencing with Tesla. My retirement is hopefully 4-5 years away, though my investment horizon is well beyond. Jeff is so correct.

    37:20 No Herbert, There is a large percentage of the population that loves driving and those people will prefer driving and not relying on FSD or similar tool. Also even if we have this technology (FSD) ready the adoption will take years and years. There will not be a chatGPT moment in terms of adoption. The stock may take a tick up but it will take time for the impact on earnings to be visible.

    • @garyrooksby
      @garyrooksby 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is, indeed, a percentage of the population that likes to drive. Do you have any evidence to back your assertion that it's a "large percentage"? I'd suggest that most commuters would prefer to have a chauffeur so they could nap or read on their commute. Further, don't ignore the stats that show Tesla FSD with human oversight is currently 14X safer than the American human driver. This will only get better and eventually (I'm not arguing over timelines) human drivers will have to pay an insurance premium if they're not using autonomy. I strongly feel that "petrolheads" will typically use autonomous EVs for the daily commute and then spend weekends driving ICE for the joy.

    Physiologically it is impossible to make FSD perfect, but it will reach a level of evolution so high that it will be proven without a shade of doubt, to be at least 7 to 10 times safer than an average human driver. Musk future comp Strike prices must be set before TSLA stock price will increase, "first principle" = management motivations. Also, I think, Musk previous Perf package requires a maintain of a Market Cap of $650B over 3.18B shares or $204... Wow right in line with where the stock is hovering at.... Please address this directly. I may have the facts incorrect... FSD, robots, energy new products, biz communications, etc etc etc will be rolled out after his next strike prices are set, plain and simple? Musk will due his basic fiduciary day to day job, I'm not questioning that.

    • @Martinit0
      @Martinit0 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I don't think potential stock buyers are waiting for a new comp package for the CEO. That's a ridiculous take since it's actually going to dilute stockholders.
      Any (sizeable) comp package approved by the current board and with incorporation in Delaware is going to be target of another lawsuit. That is so predictable, so not going to happen. Tesla needs to either reform the board towards more independent members and remove board as attack vector (preferable) or move out of Delaware, both of which will take time to implement.
      My guess is, Elon will push for a move. That needs to be approved by shareholders and it will likely depend on how institutional investors vote on that.

    • @jlljjl
      @jlljjl 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Martinit0 ??? you totally missed my point... Institutional Buyers understand that Musk future Comp will be based growing the from the "Current" stock price, Thus if the stock grows by 100% before Musk's next package is set then those Performance Comp Strike prices will by even higher for him. Thus Musk is fully incentivized to keep the stock price in this Low Range until his performance Strike prices are set. Once that is done He will move Like a Bullet to start moving ALL variables forward to increase the value of TSLA. This is how the game/careers/pay is played by all CEOs. Likewise He is motivate to keep all current growth stories to a minimum and within his fiduciary duties, again until the Perf Comp Strikes are Set...

    Take about using robots only when humans are not available is bit difficult. That's like saying, Tesla can't use robots at the factory unless they can prove there are no more humans they can pay. Thing about robotics that can transform manufacturing is that it can allow total redesigning of the factory because robots are different than humans. Now, that's not to say ignore humans in the society and it's a nuanced situation.

      Xander at time 1:15:00 --- I think Xander has it right. Imagine you wanted to hire a person to provide cleanup support in an elderly care setting. Suppose you were required to advertise for a human first as Herbert advocates. What wage & benefit offer would regulators require before they allowed a humanoid bot to be used instead? As Xander has pointed out the bot has so many advantages over employing a human in that job (although he was referring to a yogurt shop). Consider the competitive advantage an assisted care business using bots would have over a competitor using humans in these sorts of jobs. They could offer a lower price so more families could afford care for their elderly members suffering from dementia, etc. And the bots would not be spreading infectious diseases as happened with Covid.

    xander says that tesla is not geeting anycredit for ai. thats because they have no product. just saw a video of fsd 12 nice ride and then i wants to pull into incoming traffic, almost a horrible crash and the driver was quick and prevented it. second v12 video and the tesla kept rolling around an empty parking lot, could find the exit. third video fsdv12 drives smooth and then on a straigt lane it constantly and randomly increases and decreases velocity. nvidia is earning a ton of money, microsoft is selling copilot like hot cake. same goes for gemini and openai. they have products that work and that they can sell at scale. your are not doing any investor of tesla a favor by sugarcouting that tesla is overpromising and underdelivering. 2 years before the next gen cars, common man thats superslow progress. you have no idea when fsd will be lvl4 or when a bot is coming, so pls dont hype the stock and pressure investors into fomoing in. every podcast you say, now is the time to buy, if you dont buy its to late. imho u will see when fsd12 is ready and when the bot is coming. with all the broken promises tsla will not rally from a 600m cap to 2t before it materializes into earnings. there will be plenty of time to buy

      People that paid mega bucks for FSD should be granted lifetime transferable and free FSD, they earned it.
      SAS MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION IDEA:
      $25 = Up to XX miles per month plus $x per mile after that.

      $100 = Up to XX miles per month plus $x per mile after that.
      $250 = Up to XX miles per month plus $x per mile after that.
      $500 = Unlimited miles per month.
      Must sign up and commit to a year of service to start service.
      (Want to get people hooked on it and they will be users for life)
      May raise or lower subscription month to month, before end of month.
      (Miles used increases permanently or maybe a onetime cross-country vacation)
      We are shareholders!
      This format will make TESLA (shareholders) all more money and increase the use and safety of the most drivers possible.

    It would be a matter of filling all of the jobs that are not currently filled. Then if the company would replace a current worker with a robot then that worker would collect unemployment compensation paid by the company’s that hire robot workers. The rate of pay would have to be the same as the pay they were making at the time of discharge. The unemployed workers would be sent to retaining for a new open position at a new company. If that person at some point is not able to attain gainful employment they would be moved to another level similar to disability retirement. The companies that hire robots will reap the savings buy hiring robots would inherit all financial liability for the employee as well as pay the same or more in taxes to the government for their actions.
