I love the morgan's especially the Carson city and San Francisco mint mark's also I have a 1921 high relief, since moving back to the UK I concentrate on sovereigns, thanks for sharing
Nice video thank you:) I also enjoy older coins for the history. I also like some of the new coins though because of the designs, purity and it's fun to learn about the different mints making stuff atm. Enjoy bro:D
💯 to you Shawn Oliver !! I only joined the stacking community 8 mo. Ago . 1st bullion and then price had me like woe ! So I ha e went the nunismatic/ stacker way a bit for now . To see how crazy this will get. Love bullion ! But I now have a bit on 90 % in my stack. I have been stacking the a.u / BU morgan / peace dollar's now . I think the peace dollars are a good looking coin but a fair amount of people just don't care for them ! That's fine ! More for me !!! 💯 on your take ! I enjoyed it ! New to your channel . I will be back for more !
I only own one Morgan Dollar (1890, New Orleans) - it's black, worn, grade Fair - I bought it when I was 13 years old, because I found it to be cowboy'dy. It lives on my table top, I spin it daily and I like the sound of it 🙂 Congrats with your more mature dollar stack, Shaun! All the best!
I think rainy day fund is what I will use moving forward - I think war stack is a bit alarmist when I don't mean it that way so Ill refer to it differently moving forward.
Never saw those kind of coins before! They are very old? What date range roughly please? Are they 1 ouncers? At 90%? I agree, far nicer than bullion at 99.9%, if i drop them they get dented!!
Hi do you not collect the 90 percent quarters and dimes, i do love the look and feel of Morgans and Mercury dimes and the sound of them, is that sadder than you picturing a cowboy paying for his bourbon in a saloon😂ok i get those thoughts too👍
LMAO guilty of intrusive thoughts too! yeeha! I used to stack dimes - I moved onto dollars as I wanted to tidy things up. If I go above my goal then I might aim for 100 dollars face of each. As it stands I have been trading the smaller denominations and keeping the dollars. :)
"I dont have a problem with them being cleaned, but i preferbthem cleaner". I dont follow. Do you mean for old coins tarnish adds to its character, please?
Totally understand what you mean about holding coins rather than Bullion with regards to history. I collect best value sovereigns for the same reason. I wonder who owned them, spent them, their everyday lives and also the historical events that happend when those coins were in circulation. I've always loved history and metal detecting so it's a natural link between them. With respect to security, I don't keep my investments anywhere near me. They are secure, I have a big dog and other measures I couldn't possibly talk about on here but surfice as to say if anyone tried robbing me then they will go missing and never be found. 😏
I have never really taken to Peace Dollars. The Morgan Dollars are beautiful, almost Romanesque. Nice Stack.
Each to their own - Can't like everything
You can't go wrong with Mogan and Peace dollar! Nice score.
They are solid coins - thanks for stopping by.
@@shaunoliver1703 I would like to give you a Red Book for US coinage! It has a lot of information on the history of each coin.

Very cool! Thanks for taking to the time to watch :)
Interesting talk Shaun, I’m a big fan of silver dollars especially Morgans
They are nice chunky coins - I usually keep a couple of my desk to play around with when Im stressed.
@@shaunoliver1703likewise, do you have an email that I can use, if you do sell Morgan’s/peace dollars I’m always buying
Nice set of silver dollars. I have just a few but one of them is 1884 Carson City from the USA GSA hoard. Reminds me of the wildwest.
No Carson City for me sadly (I wish). I was offered one maybe a month ago but The gentleman and I were too far apart sadly.
Nice video thank you:) I also enjoy older coins for the history. I also like some of the new coins though because of the designs, purity and it's fun to learn about the different mints making stuff atm. Enjoy bro:D

Welcome to the hobby (apologies for taking a few days to respond). Its a fun hobby and plenty of different types of coins to get your teeth into :)
Love the Morgan's good premiums if you're a dealer even to stack they are A#1 choice as well.
They are just nice

Thanks for sharing your lovely story!
@@shaunoliver1703 wondering...can it be cleaned easy enough to make it shiny again?. Or does that just cause more damage to coin than doing it good?
@@echoecho5244 It damages the coin.
@@shaunoliver1703 ah, what a pity.
The Peace dollar, is probably the most beautiful coin ever produced. My grandfather had a Peace and a Morgan dollar. That's how I got started.
It would seem I am in fine company - The peace dollar was what my mother had and it was the coin that kinda started it all for me as a collector.
enjoyed the chat stack away
Thanks for stopping by.
I enjoyed the video
And I liked those coins😊
Glad you enjoyed
Hi Shaun. I've got a 1882 Morgan on my desk. Jesse James was killed that year. So much history with coins.
I love nuggets like that - It is why I find coins so interesting as they have a story. That is the point I was trying to make about not having 999
I do prefer pre 1920 crowns but as you say the premium is high and the silver dollars are a cool coin👏🏻
I find they can go for silly money even in banged up condition.
MANY things! As many as MANY things!
Many bull ants
@@shaunoliver1703 if you could stack those you would be a god among men haha

Hey Shaun, me personally, I’ve only recently got my first Morgan dollar, good peace to play with 🙆♂️
Keep it as a touch piece - good for your health (supposedly)
i agree i find silver hype boring , these little movements just create noise i find irritating
its tedious - glad I am not the only one who is not a fan.
The SHTF stack.
Thank you!
The 1921 high relief is a peace dollar
❤
Call it the Zombie Apocalypse Stack... ;)

They are about 25 grams of silver give or take - age range from 1880 ish to 1920s

Pokemon video when? You got an English unlimited base booster box stashed?
tbh I dont really want to make such a video

Sorry for the late response - I meant I prefer them to have better features and less grotty. Don't mind cleaned coins per se

I think security is a hot topic in these circles - being a dealer comes with risk its not something I can simply escape.
