The Teenaged Girl in this video has a great look for Films. This is such a slick looking little "Mini-Movie too. Toronto is looking very cool and desolate at night. The TTC subway rarely looks this spacious. Lot's of room to sit and chill.
Love everything about this. The 80's high school drama sort of feel only strengthened by the opening and ending "I Was A Fool" title credits that reminded me of Flashdance, just perfect. Travis's work is magical. This song, is magical, and inspiring like all of Heartthrob.
This song helped me understand how much I loved pop music. A great bass line, a sweet hook, magical harmonies, and then lyrics that mean something, at least to me. I still avoid music that has nothing to say to me, but all those years I tried to be so "alternative", even when that word meant something, what I was really looking for was that bass line, and the sweet hook. I hope Tegan and Sara understand, at least a bit, how much happiness they've brought to so many.
Incredible video - powerful in its simplicity. The words of this song are as equally powerful without being overly complex. These women deserve all of the accolades they have so long deserved.
