Your videos are so awesome. My 7th grader is learning Latin and they are super helpful. Thanks for all you do! ☺️
That is awesome! I'm glad the videos are helpful!
Muchas gracias por la fantástica enseñanza!
Me alegro de que te guste!
In the table you give in the beginning (0:23) should the 3rd person sg. not be FUIT instead of FUI?
You're right, it should be "fuit". It is correct in the dialogue
great content as always thank you so much.
what is the difference between fugit( present tense) and fugitat? cuz it seems that both roots exist. Thx
Fugitat is an example of a verb of "frequentative aspect" which means that it denotes a continuously repeated action. I don't really know how to translate the difference between fugit and fugitat in English, but a common example of these two types is "crack" and "crackle" (which has a continuous action)
a person who asks 'why' is CURious
Great mnemonic!
In 5:27 it should be intellego, not intelligo
5:40 Linguam LatinAm or LatinUm?
Latīnam. Thanks for the corrections!
Why not ""Hesterno die negotiosus eram"? (Sorry for not having typed the marks above long vowels)
We use "fuī" because the "being busy" was completed yesterday. And for completed actions we use the perfect past tense. It's a hard topic for non-Romance language speakers.
