The acting teacher that said Sam couldn't act? Good heavens, he probably thinks the moon is made of cheese as well. Sam is terrific as Jamie Fraser in Outlanders, as gazillions of fans world wide will attest.
Actually, his past work isn’t that good. So I don’t blame the teacher. It’s kinda cringe.

He simply didn't notice his first abilities and in his eyes Sam wasna enough. And he probably lost interest later to watch his career. And as Sam said, it could be a phase of trying to break you down and give up.

I can't believe that season 2 of Outlander starts next spring. Why can't thay start it this fall like season 1? I've been waiting for nothing. It won't happen until next year. How sad!

Occasionally Sam runs into interviewers who are ill-prepared and say inappropriate things like this guy. But, Sam and Cait always become the adults in the room and answer professionally. Class acts!!

Nah, mostly in the U.S. And his accent had a touch of American that "softened" it a bit. But dialects vary to every region.

+Big RED i have heard him say he's got a house there so he travels. But he's a true Scot so, it doesn't matter, yet I hear a slight difference.

He's Scottish/American. That's why his Scots accent isn't full blown
