I like how your family troubleshoots the problems, and discusses how you're going to put things together, and you always seem happy with the results.
I think it's pretty cool how Jared and "Mom" get along so well. Usually, in-laws like to fight; y'all are lucky. Thanks for being a good example for the rest of us. :-)

IMO he has so many of the same amazing qualities and mannerism of his father in law...it is a GREAT compliment to Bree's dad that she married aomeone like her dad.

It's so much fun to watch your homestead still evolving. Most folks buy a home and it is what it is. Not so with a homestead. There are always ways to make things better. And y'all have a firm grasp of this. I am always excited to see your expansion

The other 2 siblings who got married have left the homestead, and we see much less of them now. I'm happy for them, but sad for us.
Garen and Ellie have still invited us into their home and family, but we still miss them because we see them a lot less.
Shea and Skylar are just missing in action, although Shea left quite a while before she got married. So nothing really changed after she got married.
But you, Jared, not only have you and Bree stayed on the homestead, but you've become such a vital part of it that it seems like you've always been there.
I hope you and Bree spending time traveling if that's what you want to do. Gas is crazy high to start that right now though.

Bryson, I was going to make a joke, but I'd rather tell you what I tell my son (24). Enjoy your 20s+. Build memories. Be spontaneous. Try new things/hobbies (although, I wasn't too happy when he chose sky-diving 😃). Grow as a person. Save for the future.
Besides, I'd rather you stay the fun Uncle, if it means we can keep you on MLH.
It was fun to watch you guys finish the block area that you'd never finished before. The block windows are great for privacy too as this will be the bathroom for the shed. I loved the decorative nuts and bolts on the new glass window. It's so fun to watch the family work together and the working comraderie is wonderful. A joy to watch!

Hey guys, just a thought for the future. If you have any problems with removing mortar or concrete from brick, use an angle grinder with a concrete/diamond wheel. It's like taking sandpaper to wood. You can get it as flat and smooth as you would like quite easily. Otherwise, keep up the good work!! The shop is coming out beautifully so far.

You need to get yourself a cloth piping bag used for icing pastry and cakes for doing the tight spots of mortar. It would save so much time!

Nice to see mother-in-law and son-in-law working well together. Jared with goggles on reminds me of a mad scientist, LOL.
When the editing videos are complete, think about having a family dinner with the whole family and filming everyone to please the fans...since Garen is working now and Shae is so shy these days :) I am content with the shop build...but it would be nice to see the whole family and interactions between everyone (especially because Shae doesn't like to be filmed while eating...Ha ha) Just an idea
Jared is a smart man. He knows how to keep the in-laws happy!
The dogs following Gary with the apple is too familiar! We got 4 little girls(3 Shihtzu and a Border Terrier) that all follow anyone with food in the house. It's like we starve them, but no. They all get fed a special diet twice a day and get treats several times a day. But if you have some fruit or some aromatic food, they all expect a bite...from EVERYONE eating! Its the Dog Tax as I call it. I used to use that on my boyz, the Dad Tax, and take a bite of their food. Now Karma has returned to bite me, er, my food. Loving the Garage build!

I am also glad you guys are working on a new shop, I was here when the hoop barn collapsed due to the snow, and had some holes in the tarp, or whatever that was called covering it up, I miss it though but you can never go back in time.

We had glass blocks for a bathroom window. The porch coming into the house was on the other side. I'm glad you're are up high.
It is so great how there is nothing that you all can't do. Give it a shot, you might be surprised what you can do. For a t shirt ( Block- it, stop spam ).

Poor puppy and his eternal stick... I had a black lab that chased ROCKS! Since I also did ceramics, I used some scrap clay, made a ball out of it, and glazed it neon yellow, with Osiris's name painted on it too. That way he had a rock to chase that we could always find. He's long ago passed, but I still have Osiris' rock as a paper weight now.
I'm also missing the WHOLE family. What's up? Don't mean to be nosey but sure miss all the others and the little girls. See you on the next one. From Central Oklahoma.

The "I ♥️ love you" blocks will always be there. They will be the ♥️ of the bathroom. It looks 😃 great!
Like beams, your headers always need your strong axis aligned to brace your load otherwise if you put your weak axis supporting your load you can easily jeopardize its integrity. That is why Gary had you adjust it, you had your weak axis supporting the load originally
Yep grouted cells are key in a cmu wall. At ends, center, and every 8 ft for long walls. Also make sure to dowel to your foundation.
