- Joel Jaggar interviews asked Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger for their movie Escape Plan which is directed by Mikael Håfström.
Plot: Tough and chiseled Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) knows how to infiltrate a prison -- and bust out of one. His latest job leads to a double-cross, leaving him stuck in a high-tech facility with the worst that society has to offer. Luckily for Ray, he meets Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), an inmate who secretly helps him hatch a plot to win his freedom. Only sadistic warden Hobbes (Jim Caviezel) stands in the way of the two men successfully making it out alive.

The ESCAPE PLAN was a VERY GOOD movie!!!
They were great in The Expendables. Sly and Arnold are kick ass together.
The new generation of action heroes will not come close to the icon dynamic of Sly and Arnold.

Of course as far as actors with range who can play any role Pacino and De Niro are better but a lot of people don't give credit to these guys I am not saying they are the best actors but they are better then what people give em credit for.

I've waited years to see these two together.
Two legends together they are both amazing and they are both truly inspirational in all of their achievements. I love them both and own many Blu-ray films of both of these men. They will both be remember for many many years because they inspire.

I find it funny that I can understand Arnie much easier than I can Sly.
He's done a lot of action films that has caused him to have injuries. He slurs his words due to workin hard in extreme action scenes.
haterzaremotivators he said also in an older interview (sly that is) that the doctors when he was born had to use triceps to get him our (i think he was breech or something) and damaged the nerve that controls the left side of his mouth which is why he has a weird facial expression and always looks angry.
Never had a problem understanding sly. I swear people massively exaggerate this. He’s got a deep voice. He doesn’t “slur” either, he also doesn’t talk like “rocky” because rocky is a character he “acts” as. Never understood how people thought he was rocky and not “acting” a role. Bizarre thought process.
Man I wanna go back to the 80s, maybe like 1982 and live until about 1988 and then loop back to 82 again over and over. Best of times

I have nothing but repsect for all 3 expendables movie.. The think is that these guys are close to retirement, They have been "champions" of action movies since i was a kid. So you dont see the movie because of the story, or the logic / realism, you watch it because ALL these champions are working together in their own style.. Doing what they are famous for.. Like when Chuck norris first met the expendables, in the second movie, there was immidiatly a few chuck norris Facts.
Escape plan, is just another great example of how these 2 great action champions can work together even though they are "competitors", its not hate, its a fight to be the best. And in this movie you really see that they can work together aswell.. :)

This is iconic to see these 2 action stars sitting right beside each other,a true gift to the world of action movie lovers. Both have done similar movies apart from each and to see them embrace and work with each other especially after a famous history of not being to crazy about each other is SO great for fans of them like me!!!

Seeing these two together really brings out the little kid in me, it's great seeing two titans of action movies still rocking.

Love the respect they give each other in this fabulous interview, particularly Slyvester stallone as he gave credit to Arnold for creating the memorable action one liners and the action comedies! Very funny and alot of respect given to Arnold by Slyvester with Slyvester admitting his character wasn't exactly a barrel of laughs as supposed to the action characters that Arnold has protrayed that always has great senses of humor.

They had to because if they didn't it would of come across as arrogant and self centred so they had to come across as humble I can't imagine how difficult it was for sly to compliment Arnie because even though he respects him he hated him one over because they both were in competition with each other because they were both in the same genres of movies together and they both tricked each other into making movies that they each didn't want to do and for example they where both always one step a head of each other for example when Arnold made commando sly made Rambo

Sylvester Stallone v Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester has been oustanding when it comes to bluckbuster movies and he is very good actor! if you doubt that, then watch rocky. Arnold has been fantatisc as well and i think personally that he accomplished more than Sylvester. Moved from his home town and flew to America, learn the language, become a bodybiulder, an actor and last but not least he became a governor MUCH RESPECT! he is the example for a successful man!
And a good director too. Stallone has directed his share of films. :)

I love it how respectful and warm they are to each other. Sly is constatly saying "we" "we", acknowleding or praising Arnold. Im always surrounded by as5holes who might say something nice or are positive in the workspace but really theres nothing behind it and would bury me in a moment if it meant something good for them. IVe completely forgoten how it is to have a person that actually cares and means well for you despite being competitive. Less and less of that I feel in the world nowadays. So much duplicity, selective compassion,razoredge cold competitivness and ruthlessness. People have no hearth anymore,too many of us,to little resources/jobs.

It was a great movie. Even 50 Cent put in a good acting performance.
You can't really judge his acting in this. His entire screen time was like 2 minutes.

When you have two of the Greatest Actors respect each other to the degree these two do it's magic to watch.
Both have their feet firmly on the ground and speak with such passion for their craft ....great Mentors for future upcoming Actors.
Maybe because Sly and Arnie had worked from the ground up through hardships made them appreciate their positions gratefully.
The Legacy you leave behind is what counts and it's not Money or Materialism it's how you made people feel....these two have made Millions of People feel Happy, Energised and Excited in a World of Despair....that's a God Given Gift !!

If these two ever got into a fight, Arnold would flex and punch Sylvester as hard as he could repeatedly. Stallone would block the punches with his face Rocky style and take it like it's candy. Then the universe would explode from sheer awesomeness.
I really enjoy the composed manor they talk. They don't cut to each other sentences, use slow, expressive sophisticated expressions. It really destroys the stereotypes some people have about bodybuilders/action stars. I respect them so much.
