Well said Ben, we have sold birds through pets for homes, and have been fortunate with genuine buyers, but as the saying goes’There’s nowt weirder than folk’!!!
Thing is if you sell to a shop, it’s just a different means to the same end. It just distances you from the moral dilemma of who is going to ultimately keep the bird.
Not sure if you know about the new law Ben on bird keeping , if they are kept in outside aviaries , shown or surplus sold on at bird sale events you have to register with apha , I’ve got nearly 100 birds , it’s going to be a pain for me lol , I’ve counted 33 budgies , 20 canaries , 7 Japanese quails, 7 bengalese and the Zeb count is going to be high lol
My budgie girl just laid 1 egg on December 13 and the other one today 15 and she is sitting all night until the morning she comes out i don't know if they are going to hatch because is winter time here in new York 😢 ill see how many more she can give is the first time throwing eggs 😂
@@bstrippy1664hey i came back again she laid the egg #4 on December 19 and yesterday I candle 🕯️ them and no sign of blood yet can you tell me if it is because she didn't finish laying eggs cuz today 21 should put #5 out
@@bstrippy1664 My second home 😀spent many years out near long buckby and many nights out as a young lad in town lol, im back in London now but will try to get up sometime and visit family and stop by for a bird👍🏻
I would love to get one your budgie and give it a home, to keep Rocky company, but I don't drive ,but may I ask, would a finch keep him company & do they eat same food, just asking I'm not a robot lol
They get on 90% of the time…. But not advised just 2 birds together…. They pretty much eat the same (aviary mix) seed and leave the same stuff from it… it has a mix that budgies, canaries and finches eat… that with treats such as millet spray cucumber.. eggs etc… they do eat pretty much the same.
@@bstrippy1664 thank you for advice, funny when you want a budgie you can't find for love or money, took me ages 4 years ago to find someone selling, might just keep him on he's own

Indeed!… some people have been awesome… but others…🤔
Made me laugh at the end mate. Everything you described about buyers stupid questions….. applies to EVERY selling site! 😂😂

Hi Jane…. That’s a lot of birds. Yes, I did know about the new law. I have picked up on it in a future video… 😊
I put ads in local farm shops and pet feed suppliers I always get genuine buyers
Thanks… I have placed ads in my local pet shop (that doesn’t sell birds)… but not heard anything yet.
