I called a church today to get resources on defining Faith, because I am struggling on a decision trying to decipher if this is a faith step or not; the receptionist said it was late in the day & the Pastors could not be bothered with my question. Of course I was angered at the worldly response from this person; I share that, to share this; your teaching message just came to me (popped up on my screen) it's 1 year old, & it's about Faith! To the reader of this: Never underestimate God's hold on you, to make anything happen to communicate with you. He will get you an answer when humans are unwilling to sacrifice being His Hands & Feet as brothers & sisters should. God is never ending in supply of His goodness toward us. He is awesome! Make Him #1 above ALL else, even if it means being alone. Faith~Hold nothing back from God, because He will never hold out on you!

I'm not Baptist. Most here would probably say I'm not Christian. I don't know if God is real (and I'm okay not knowing). I'm sure we would disagree vehemently on many fundamental topics. All that aside, this message touched me, so I thank you.
I think I've fallen into each of the types of insincere faith James describes at some point in my life. Now I claim little faith at all. But I do believe in acting out my values, rather than just giving them lip service. That was Jesus' most prominent message to me: to look inward and root out the hypocrisy in your life. Thanks again.

Surrender completely to God. Tell him you will live his way. He will deliver you! Once he does, fill yourself up with him. Because temptations will come up in other ways. God will change you, and it happens quickly!!

Yes. Real faith is practical. It is meeting people's needs. We don't read Bible verses to a hungry person or a sick person . We give him food or medicines. We don't preach to our old father over lunch, we help him with his food. Very motivating talk. Thank you.

Almighty god but ever since I started spending my life together with a Man who never believed in God, who avoids entering the church, my life in
all aspects became Messy. I have tried to get rid of him out of my life but to no avail. I don't want to spend the remaining years of my life with someone who is toxic Atheist. What shall I do? Thanks so much for your advice Rick 🙏.

faith is not just about love but practical
I love this message pastor rick! Also, I have a question.. how do I know what changes I need to make, or what areas of my life I need to have faith in? Some things are more obvious than others. For example, trusting god with my future and with love, but other things are a little less obvious and a lot harder to see. What are the basics of the actions god wants me to take? Walking in love? Having faith? What about discipline? Because all of these things apply to different areas of my life so sometimes I don’t know where to start

Think when you genuinely ask jesus into your heart, he comes in, my grace is sufficient for you, we all stumble in many ways, know your bang on with scripture Rick but when your mentioning works it gets messy, we really don't know who's genuine or not

Dear Pastor Rick. My old church said that not all promises in the bible apply to us.
They said that we need to note the context because many promises were made to other people in the bible
and were not intended for us today. ( eg. Isaiah). I do not want to accept that view of God's promises.
