It's a deep song, blatantly singing about his addiction. In the this clip he is the wolf and she is his addiction. The wolf runs away strong and the she dissolves into a former state of mind that's never forgotten.
Fuck they just get better and better, Pat still coming up with sweet riffs, Joe awsome baselines, Kris still smashing away on the drums, and Phil still singing great lyrics
Not sure why, but I was touched by this video. It reminds me of when I have let something beautiful and precious in my life just go and a lifetime of regret. The video was very stripped down but very classy too. Thanks Grinspoon for this. And Phil Jamison is a pop diva trapped inside a rock band...but aren't they bloody awesome?!!!
Great song guys...Those 7 listen to Readers Digest music from the 50's !!!! And i'm from that era !! Nothing better than Rock Music....That is, Good Rock Music...
Yes there is an argument that it's a little too commercial but in a industry full of throw away pop artists, bands like Grinspoon are important to keep rock music in Australia alive long enough to build momentum for a comeback... Great song!
Yeah I happened to be down there when they were filming the bits on the main street, walking in front of the shops. Kinda cool to see it all happening :).It was kinda funny seeing them all wrapped up due to the cold, and there I was in a t-shirt.
Been out of the country for the last 6 months, so haven't heard most of the new music coming through but I'm assuming this album will pretty much round out the top 10 in the Hottest 100 this weekend
yer they do that. along with every other station. its shits me to no end. i started listening to triple mmm a few years ago because they didnt do that they had the no repeat work day. but now i would rather listen to 106.5 then any other station! lol
Another great song from Grinspoon. These guys have mastered writing killer hooks with a great groove with a moodiness added. Not hearing eye of the tiger. This song is clever cause it sounds simple, but there is a bit going on between the 2 gtr tracks and the bass which makes it interesting. Also a yep for the Passer-bye Lady and the clip overall. Good Stuff all-round. Thumbs up from me. :D
Really like the guitar riff in this song, its all very familiar but its very well balanced. Lovely mixing style syncing it all together as well. Great work mr soundman.
Zeus I guess was one of the "Kiwi Star" attractions and one of the reasons for it being filmed in NZ as I believe he was the "pick of the pack" by the lead singer for having such beautiful eyes and being such a gorgeous "wolf" looking husky.....
This is exactly what happens when bands get to commercial they get boring. guide to a better living was probably the best album of the 90's. not to mention pushing buttons is the best ep ever made by anyone
obvoiously you all arent big enough fans if you dont like new music for your band, Im a massive living end fan and as bad as a couple of their albums i loved them cause theyre my fav band
fucking BOOM didnt even know it was the grinners when i first heard it . love the track big change from listening to just ace all them years back to this love it
I heard it on Triple M as well, This is a great song, Australia has so many awesome bands ay, and as for Tool they are one of the best bands in the world personally my favourite.
I gotta laugh at those complaining at how its pop and cheesey, like a rock tune of this calibre are easy to write and make up, there are alot of losers in this world. Post enebriated anxiety is my favourite but this still rocks.
How is this song not been viewed in the millions?
As this great Aussie song drifts into the past ill keep listening to it!!!
This is one of my favourite Grinspoon songs. As much as I love the early stuff, this is still up there. Great track!

It's a deep song, blatantly singing about his addiction. In the this clip he is the wolf and she is his addiction. The wolf runs away strong and the she dissolves into a former state of mind that's never forgotten.

Yeah I happened to be down there when they were filming the bits on the main street, walking in front of the shops. Kinda cool to see it all happening :).It was kinda funny seeing them all wrapped up due to the cold, and there I was in a t-shirt.

They made Good Charlotte sound like a bunch of Hacks last night on the Footy Show!!
yer they do that. along with every other station. its shits me to no end. i started listening to triple mmm a few years ago because they didnt do that they had the no repeat work day. but now i would rather listen to 106.5 then any other station! lol

Well said bud...Grinners rock!
Love this song and it has an awesome video :) Just wondering if anyone else thinks or sees that the passerby lady is or looks like Jessica Tovey?
I think I encountered some of those Black Rabbits in Shadow Warrior though they look calm in this video.
That's no ordinary rabbit!
It's a sad indictment when my favourite thing about this clip is Joe's smokin' hot bass guitar...
Hear this song at work all the time and only just found it
Loving the guitar (especially the intro) & drums in this track. Lyrics are pretty good too.. Good job!
Checking in 19/09/2023.
