Who else remembers Saturday morning with Video Hits and/or Rage rage r-r-rage when it was this song, Eskimo Joe Black fingernail red wine, Hearts A Mess - Gotye and that fucking song about ping pong every week for a year.
I remember listening to this when I was a teenager, miserable & living rural in Australia. I used to dream of running away, thinking it would make me happy. I never realized that I didn't need to run away for good, I just needed to find substance. Beautiful song.
I’m Aussie and remember first seeing this on the telly, most likely rage of a Saturday morning. I would have been around 12 and remember the first line being sung and my mum saying “what!?? He’s coming back with axes?” 😂 after hearing it a few more times it became well loved and to this day every time someone announces that the internet is disconnected, we all sing AHahhh AHAhh ❤
this song was my favorite when i was studying in australia. most of the student unions were arranging welcome parties for new students and this song was trending those days
I heard this on rage when I was like 13, and the chorus sounded so weird to me, but I loved the song. Almost 10 years later, this song is so much more chilled than what I listen to now. It's actually quite relaxing. Shame they broke up. This kind of music really has a large niche following nowadays.
When I joined the army, they let us have a boom box at basic training. We bought a mix tape of the hits of the day, this was the stand out. I’ve never heard this on the radio, guess we’re too close for nostalgia. But it transforms me to a certain time, certain place.
This song brings a smile to my face, it reminds me of my good friend who often sang it at work, sadly he passed away in 2016. I wish i could hear him sing it again. RIP mate
The memories I have to this song being my tune of the summer over a decade ago got my first girl friend, drove out to Phillip Island with her friends partied blasted this track over a weekend, came back to Melbourne three days later I she called it off due to perusing studies abroad , this song will always remind me of that summer and the feeling of first love and first heart break haha .
I miss Faker. I remember seeing them at Falls Festival with Lykke Li, The Kooks, Franz Ferdinand, and Tegan and Sara back in 2008. What a great NYE that was!
@@mattpullen3062 Don't delude yourself. No one knows this song except millennials who are latching onto the past like desperate fucking freaks. Grow the fuck up. Dismissed.
Tristan Marsh Oh, perhaps this person kept his playstation one for ages and by the time the song was released he still had it. I'm not too sure either.
Man last i heard this was almost 10 years ago back in school. Only a few weeks ago my work had it playing through the store radio channel. Farrr out it threw me back! Probably my most played song now in the past week now ahahahaha!!! Didnt even know they were fellow aussies too!
This song reminds me so much of a mate that lived next door to me 18 years ago when my ex left me and I was devo. He was heavily into Faker and took me in kinda. I found a new band I love. Every time I hear this I go back to when he and I bonded.
I don't care weather you would believe me or not, but i just met the lead singer Nathan, he is a really cool dude and a very motivational. and this video defiantly deserves more views.
I remember listening to this when I was 8, this my bloody jam omg I miss this music (not complaining bc I love today's music but I still get nostalgic)
Seeing as this video is actually an Australian band i dont think people are really trying to say a certain country is the best i think they are just proud of this band for making it big because the Australian music industry isnt very successful with outsourcing and its really hard for bands like this to branch out to get big in other countries.
1st heard this song and One Step Closer , Breaking The Habit back in 2007,on my cousin's ipod.Man o man!!!! I still remember those moments!! These songs were my gateway to metal music.Me and my cousin used to share a single earphone.I wish I could relive those moments again...I wish...
Hottest song of all time! I randomly break out into "THIS HEART ATTACK" like, in the queue at the supermarket....in the waiting room at the doc surgery....yeah, I get sum strange looks :)

👌🙌🙌 those were the days haha
Hell yes. Sitting in Adelaide today under lockdown you realise how far this country has fallen
"Just a song about ping pong"
*PTSD Intensifies*
haha the ping pong song that band went to my school - i remember all of this
yessss dude... ughh can we please go back
I remember listening to this when I was a teenager, miserable & living rural in Australia. I used to dream of running away, thinking it would make me happy. I never realized that I didn't need to run away for good, I just needed to find substance.
Beautiful song.
you found substances alright
Which substance? Crystal meth? Heroin? Cocaine? It's odd you had to leave because meth is pretty abundant in Australian regional towns.
Im guessing NT
I met these guys & got their autograph when I was a kid at Sydney Airport. Such friendly & humble dudes.

Brilliant! And Nathan's owns the stage at their live gigs! Saw them at the Enmore once, the audience went off

I agree with the chorus, lol, very weird but i like it now more then i ever did when i was young
Feels weird growing up and being able to relate to the lyrics
