    Helpful, but always a questions arise with stroke, if there is no hand/Wrist function how can she(Demo girl as chef) do her cookery activities..?

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello,
      There are certain therapeutic strategies that we need to follow in order to develop motor control.
      I will summarize them for you:
      1. Work on developing stability and postural control through CKC exercises.
      2. Progress to MKC exercises.
      Focus on sensory re-education to improve motor performance. (if you can make the patient feel right then patient will move right.
      3. Finally train OKC activities.

    Sir Should we recommend weight bearing over the hemiplegic limb?

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes but weight bearing also needs to be done wisely like for example not letting the elbow joint getting locked in extension, not over supinating the forearm etc.
      Weight bearing improves motor control by demanding recruitment from medial motor system.
      There is so much that can be discussed but not possible through message/ comments

  • @rimsmith9108
    @rimsmith9108 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    So this is a top down approach?

    • @PhysioClassroom
      @PhysioClassroom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes,
      Involves strategies to establish cortical control through coordinated activation of medial and lateral motor system.
      ( Postural and movement control )
