What a trip down memory lane. You not only floated past the Lodge I helped build & the fishing program I started out of it on the upper river, but then you got a shot of one of the vans from the company at the boat ramp as well. At the 12:46 mark an Alaka Wildland Adventures van was launching a drift boat alongside you guys. Back in 1985 I got laid off from my railroad job in Denver & ended up on the Kenai that spring building the lodge and developing the fishing program for it. It does my heart good knowing that the foundation I helped lay for the company is still an active going concern yet today. Thanks for the memories!!!
That water was so clear and blue, what a beautiful state. I’m happy to hear that the people who go to that area are able to leave the area as clean as it was when they arrived. Outdoorsmen seem to keep their areas free of litter, at least most of them. What I learned when I was young was the only thing you leave behind are your footsteps. Thanks for sharing
After spending 5 days on the Copper River drainage down near Cordova I’ve got to say that fishing in Alaska is indeed a real dream come true. Thanks for sharing Scott. It’s good to see we share something besides construction in our lives.
Now that's more like it! Great fishing and a well deserved vacation with friends in stunning country. Thanks for taking us along on this very cool adventure, Scott.
You alway seam like a happy camper but It’s amazing to see such amazing smile on your face. It made my day seeing you do something so fun! Also took me back to some of the best memories I’ve ever had. Thanks for the joy
As someone who grew up fishing in the PNW, Alaska is the one place we “traveled” to fish. Looks like a great time and brings back great memories salmon fishing up and down the rivers in jet boats
Excellent time! I remember fishing the Kenai back in 1986 with my Dad & 11 yr old brother. We reeled in many 30-50lb King Salmon which were out of season, but so much fun! Caught dozens of trout in one morning on Back Lake (near Ptarmigan Lake) & huge Northern Pike in Minnow Flats Alaska has the most incredible fishing!
I lived on the kenai peninsula for 30 years! I only moved away last year after I got married. Very cool to see you walking around my old stomping grounds. It's a beautiful place with some great people. You probably drove within a few hundred yards of my house, I used to live in Ninilchik, about halfway between Kenai and Homer.
Welcome up to Alaska! Always great to see our home enjoyed by folks who really enjoy it and treat it well. I'll be Luke with Outdoor Boys would appreciate some assistance up on his homestead.
Just got back from the lower Kenai on our first trip with my father (84). I recognized the island and bend where you were on the river day 2. It was absolutely beautiful out there.
Wow! I was rafting in Norway, well one day, last summer. This reminds me of it, but so calm. Scott, this is the happiest I've seen you❤ I have no interest in fishing, but to see you giving the trout "a breath", well Thay was beautiful.
Wow, I did not know you ventured into my back yard. Enjoy your time. Sometimes that river gets choked up with spawning reds while fishing for trout and all you are doing is breaking line, peeling off new leader, and making knots.
@@smartgorilla Agreed. Helping others is much more noble. Even so, self-care is essential to prevent burnout. Life is a balancing act. Those that do it well live the best lives. Even Jesus left the crowds to have time alone with the Father.
That really looks like the river Anduin where the Fellowship of the Ring split. Frodo and Sam went to the other side, towards Mordor. The others went towards Gondor.
Thanks for thinking of us and letting us tag along! It seems a good time was had by all.

Never thought I’d see you making a fishing video, but I’m glad to see it
Yes! The whole shed video I was waiting to see fishing action!
They did it much more elegantly.

Tools and fishing are my two favorite “hobbies/pastimes” 🎣🛠️❤️
This beats the HECK out of renovating an old shed. Those sunsets were breathtaking on video. I'm sure they were even better in person.
Spent a couple months working in a sawmill back in the early 70's. Good memories. Thanks for the video.

What a great trip. I have fished Alaska several times and worked in Alaska many times. A wonderful wild place. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Ten lashes for the videography, length of the videos, and not having Nate along to film. Kidding. Thanks. Brings back memories of the area.

I love your videos but I often hope to myself that you take some time for yourself. Loved this video, thanks for having us along on the journey!
Awesome fishing trip.
Hermoso lugar !!

Commenting from central Ohio. I'm so envious of the beautiful landscape that meets the eye from this visit to such a magnificent part of our country.
Looks like a great time thanks for sharing it with us
Thanks EC for all the videos! Fishing in Alaska, perfect way to finish up the summer!!
To God be the Glory! Breath taking! Thanks for sharing. So clean!
Action and delicious fish plus a good friend and beautiful scenery. What more could you ask for?
OMG LOOK AT THAT WATER! WOW!
I was awe struck the first time I layed Eyes on the Kenai

How wonderful to see you in our great state, i hope you enjoyed the fishing!
a whole new channel. Outdoors with EC!
I live about 400 miles north of there. I love living in Alaska.
An adventure to remember!

Outstanding!
My family was right there in AK this summer at that boat ram on our way down to Homer. such a beautiful area!
I love the vacation time with EC!! KUTGW
Awesome!!!
Awesome video and thanks for sharing!
Sounds like you caught one 12 inch trout. I've heard these fish stories before....... LoL awesome video. Maybe I will make it to Alaska someday.
I didn't realize I wanted an EC and OutdoorBoys collab until today.
Made the trip to the lower Keani up to the Russian mid Aug, bad year for silvers. Still a fun trip
Thanks for the awesome content and all the amazing videos!!
Keep up the good work!
I lived in AK for 2 1/2 yrs. I tell everyone that wants to go up that they need to go up during king season and hire a guide.
MORE VIDEOS WITH CY SWAN!
Thats is God's country! I was just there over the summer! I love Alaska!
Looks like a great trip. Too bad the king doesn't allow you to keep what you could use.
Damn ad blocks helps me with all these channels. Use to be so much simpler
I miss the US
They were locked together at horns and one shot took them both out
‘It ain’t EZ being the EC’… T-shirt idea…
"And keep up, the good work." In your case, the good fishing. (g)
> cleaner than Disneyland
Disneyland is dirty these days.
At your age you should be fishing more and working less!
Saying that to a person with a bug heart to help others is tough. I find it very very hard.

Guys don’t be afraid to grab ahold of the fish. 😂 You look like teenage boys meeting a girl for the first time. They don’t bite.
I really want to visit Alaska, it looks like my home country but with HUGE mountains! 4:35 Can't see that view in Finland
Glad you could have such a great time!
That really looks like the river Anduin where the Fellowship of the Ring split.
Frodo and Sam went to the other side, towards Mordor. The others went towards Gondor.
@7:08, so Scott what's the story? Nosey, inquiring minds want to know!
