Thanks for another great video Wiley. Hopefully you can get the old drag line running in the future. Sorry to hear about the families loss. Prayers and sympathy to the family. Thanks Wiley and Jacob and Keith. Let us know how it comes out. Thanks Wiley. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
They had a mechanic at the dealership I worked at all he worked on was the Bantam equipment he started working at the dealership when he was 16 his Dad was the shop foreman he was probably in his early Forty's when I knew him I was late twenties I will be 71 years old on the 7 of October.😊
Definitely sending thoughts and prayers. 🙏 Sad news to hear. Thanks for sharing, Wily. Hopefully ya'll can get out there and finish it up. I'm sure she would be proud.
Dad bought one new in 1958, Continental motors, Float always stuck, we just tapped the carb with a mini ball-peen hammer!! 35 MPH going downhill with a tail wind,,,,
Hello Wily. The state highway department used the Bantams here in Kentucky for ditching work especially back when I first started working in the late 1980s to early 1990s. I think that they might have also had one of the Bantam Cranes at the central bridge lot in Frankfort Kentucky. The Bantams that we had for ditching had the front and rear cabs and both had diesel engines but I don’t remember exactly what they were unfortunately. I do remember that they used the heavy screw on ether canisters to aid in starting the engines. The Bantam machines were pretty worn out when I started working within the equipment division in 1991 and they were eventually replaced with the GradAll machines which were configured pretty much the exact same as the Bantam machines were other than being smaller in size. The newer GradAll machines had various attachments other than the bucket which made them very versatile for many different purposes.
Wily im sorry to say but i had to unsubcribe on Hanks channel.I just couldn't take him and those girl's. But i do love what you're doing on your channel.❤
