Bold colors for unlimited bc that is before WOTC and then especially Hasbro, destroyed the quality of the colors/ink. Remember when it was just a “Richard Garfield” game??? I sure do. Those are the days when I played every day, cracked packs every weekend l, and ran all the regional tournaments from Pittsburgh to Akron, Cleveland, and Columbus. Man I miss those days. Love your work Mox man!
@ that is definitely the one I was thinking of and now it makes MUCH more sense, lol. Thank you for keeping me accurate. I’m a casual fan these days and not nearly as knowledgeable about math as I was years ago. Thanks again!
@@brellcooper1337 oh, no worries. And I played back in the 90s. I still have all of my cards and I have copies of both monoliths. Pack fresh in binders.
While I do collect Reserve list cards myself. I don't know how long term it is worth holding on to. The population of players who care about those cards is going to eventually not care or die. The newer player base grows beyond the demand or need for these cards dwindles and a majority of them are power-crept out of relevancy for play. There will be a critical high point somewhere, and I hope I hit it, we all do. But at a certain time, they will be as important as Legend of the Five Rings or VS system cards and just like the majority of sports cards in the world, be worth practically nothing.
scorched ruins much better than city. Scorch plays great in colorless and white decks that want to be behind on land counts. city is good in theft decks but too slow to be used for the mana side

Still can’t get over grim monolith. I remember cringing when I opened that card all the time in revised. Now it’s 300. Great video Mox man!
You may be thinking Basalt Monolith from Revised. Grim is from Urza's Legacy.

History shows that people join into collecting at different intervals so I wonder if I crowd will jump in 25 years from now as collectors
I was just looking up Mana Vortex from the Dark $13 NM, that is so crazy cheap.
And such a fun card!
Boomstick! Ash also wants for some Grim Monoliths. But he just wants the foil ones because of the extra bling. Poor Ash, they are just so costly.
wow 3-4K For a foil
Commander Masters Collector Booster Box $166 on Amazon
I think dual lands are pretty cheap,, heck everything on the reserved list is cheap and you should buy whatever you can right now.

I find city works far better BUT you do need to build around it
If you don't like the Moxman, then you should be banned from TH-cam.
Oh that is a nice comment lol!
City of shadows is way to slow for todays meta
Soldevi Excavations is stepping up!!
