Can you tell me about race relations in kalispell? I’m hearing so many different views some say don’t go it’s racist others say it great can I have your honest opinion
I don’t think it’s racist here. Last year a lake name was changed because it’s name includes an offensive term referring to a black person. The lake was changed from Lost Coon Lake to Lost Loon Lake. This happened in Whitefish, a town that is near kalispell.

@@kellypabrua192 if you are a white Trump supporter relations with other white Trump supporters is great! That pretty much sums up most of the state with some exceptions in Missoula and Bozeman which are university towns-much more liberal.
Spent time in the Flathead area over the summer. Absolutely gorgeous and fun times even though we caught that 100+ heat wave.
My wife and I were thinking of moving to Kalispell about 20 years ago. We spent a month there, looking for work. We didn't move because we couldn't find a job there at that time :( The place has grown a lot since then!

Moving to Kalispell in a few years but Oregon where I live is probably the best seasonal place to live. With the ocean and mountains just hours away, the rivers and lakes are endless but getting expensive to live.

So what do you think of Kalispell now 1 year latter? I Lived in Evergreen (Kalispell) came to MT from Oregon but when back to oregon as the hospital in Kalispell sucks big time and almst killed my wife. It nice but the Cali folk where moving in too so it waslike, F Kalispel back to Bend, and oh man its like Cali here now.....

I was forced out of my own hometown due to the increasing cost of living here, thanks to all the transplants moving here and driving the price up!
What costs increased for you? Were you renting or did you own?

I want to live in Kalispell! Visited last month for the first time and loved it! Have to leave Coeur d'Alene (way to crowded), Kalispell's a place with the same values and beauty. Just subscribed.
All of western MT is now crowded thanks to covid migrants.

I appreciate listing the median home price for the area - where I've fantasized about living - but shouldn't a number that high be a Con? Way out of my price range, and where I live, I'm considered to make good money, and I own a nice house... larger AND nicer than those $300,000 homes I've been looking at in Kalispell, actually, and at a third of the price! Unfortunately, this house is not in western Montana.... how's about a trade?

Housing affordability? $300k for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath manufactured house on a tiny lot.
