I just bought one of these a few weeks ago. I have no problem recording a few measures of accompaniment into the sequencer and playing it back and adding other layers of instruments. But 12 measures does not a song make! What about a complete song of maybe 70-80 measures with accurate variations, fill ins, intros and endings etc. So far, I havent figured out how to build complete song accompaniment by adding measures bar by bar. Whenever I go back into record mode to add the next measures it records over what I've already done and starts from scratch. Do I actually have to operate the accompaniment buttons live for the entire song in one shot? Is this just a $2000 live play keyboard with editable auto accompaniment? The instructions havent been very helpful and the music store doesn't know. It's possible that I simply haven't understood it yet. I still have a few weeks to return it if I can't figure it out on my own.
The sequencer on mine doesn't work right. The Fills don't trigger the way they are suppose to. Sometimes they don't trigger at all. I see lots of questions about it on the net but no answers from Korg, only more demos on how nice they play. It's good for playing but not for recording your own music.
Question:I've got one of these. I'm recording a bass loop for the first verse of a song but the first note of the riff actually gets played early, as the last 8th note of the previous [intro] loop. No problem. But when the intro finishes, so does that first note. I need that note to sustain into the next measure! Of course I can retrigger the note on the first click of the second loop, but then "daaaaaaa" becomes "dadaaaaa". Does that make sense? How do I get the second loop to start with the final note of the previous measure open and "ringing"? I've encountered this problem a few times before. Surely there's a control for this but I'm not sure what I'm looking for or what to call it. Anybody know?
Yes the above comment is correct...mee too facing the same problem while recording...we can't start the recording from between the bars...pls advise us for the solution..
Hi Robin. I still haven't digested this yet but I may have glimpsed the answer in the "step recording" mode. I didn't consider this at first because thus far I have understood step recording to be a "note by note" endeavor, but it appears that "steps" can also be measures, or "events" of any kind. The step recording screen offers all three. I was gratified to discover this clue. I think that means I can revisit any song (or a partial or incomplete song fragment) that I've saved and add measures when I'm ready. This may also answer how to get access to particular measures as a starting point. Sorry I can't be more specific yet. I'm still working the problem, but try experimenting with step recording using the "measure" button and see if it leads to answers.
Agree with other comments.....Korg PA1000 is an amazing arranger BUT extremely difficult to record on ....the playback sounds do not match what was recorded ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Thanks

How did you connect to sequences together into a song? How did you edit the bars on the sequencer for each sequence?
Wil korg help me to buy korg pa 1000 on EMI for the period of 5yrs?
