You are right. He was never formally trained. Before he joined Philippines Got Talent, he was living on the streets because he was abandoned by his mother when he was a child while his dad was in prison. When he feels sad or lonely, he would sing to amuse himself. Also, the reason he joined as a contestant in Philippines Got Talent was not to seek fame or money but to look for his parents who abandoned him when he was a child.
He was by far, the best singer on AGT, but because Simon said some negative things about him, he finished 3rd. l have not watched a reality TV show since then for the reason that you stated earlier in your video.
