I have distant relatives in the industry and religion is taken as a pinch of salt . Political interference is also minimal because politicians know they wont be successful in dividing people because artists are one as art knows no religion. Having said that, only the middle class is religiously sensitive and bollywood has mininum middle class people. The poor and the rich have least religious sensitivity ,they are practical..
