I have noticed with these GMT 800 Reklez notches you remove the entire bed cross rail. Why not mark where the frame stops and just trim the rail where they would make contact with the notch?
Because it doesn’t hurt. The rear differential could hit it if someone is low enough.
Man I’m so glad i found your channel. Ive been mintruckin since 1989… finally able to build my dream mini trucks now.. can I ask how you design your own notches? I need to build a set for my 95 Nissan hardbody and can’t really find any information on how to design a c notch and why they need to be braced with a bridge… where are you located? Im in Massatwoshit
What did you end up doing with the broken bolt?
Do you have to weld the nut back in inside??
You can reweld it back in but I didn’t. Customer didn’t want it fixed
Do you need a underbed notch for a 3/5 drop? 2006 sierra crewcab.
Do I need that tank in order to weld ?
Depends. If you use flux core wire no, but I will say it’s easier if you do use gas. Both have different welding procedures.
How low can I go with the under bed notch
Up to 10”
