Hello from Southeast Texas. I loved watch trains on world wide trains. Where I lived CXS, Union Pacific, Norfolk, Kansas City Southern, BNSF and Amtrak trains. Travel the same tracks. Between Beaumont Texas to Houston Texas. Along US 90.
Busy day at Dunkirk with a whole lot of rolling stock thundering by in a six train meet. All the result of a semi high centered on the rail crossing. The locomotive engineers in CSX M 634 must have thought they were in an amusement ride with the engine bouncing along on the tracks. Haven't seen the deer or ducks larely so they must have decided there wasn't any future hanging around the tracks.
Fantastic railfan videos. Big, fast train topped off by a “SIX-TRAIN MEET” nevertheless. Six trains highballing it. We’re we no entertained?????? Thank you WWOT, you rocked it.
08:10 I couldn't make out what you were saying about the equipment at the end of M363, and it didn't register on the closed captioning either. I thought you said, "Mowing equipment", but that didn't make sense... 🤔 After 15 years, perhaps you need to get an apprentice to help you and learn to be your replacement. 😜 You can just sit beside the tracks and enjoy the scenery. 🤣
@@WideWorldofTrains Not so amazing when you consider that this very busy line was shut down for nearly two hours, those trains had stacked up and had to be moved out as expeditiously as possible, thus one after another after another ... Awesome, and you caught it bro!
@@robertf3479 actually this use to occur on an irregular basis as Frontier yard would reach capacity for cars and couldn't build trains fast enough, so they'd park all the current main line Traffic and begin fleeting Frontier as fast as they could pull and build trains
ChainsawN&W1218, keeping em rolling, they definitely made up for lost time, cool 😎 how a train gets up to speed so fast starting a heavy train and notch up the throttle ,always liked seeing that 🚂 🛤.
That old ConRail logo brings back memories. I used to travel over Ben's bridge several times a day at the Selkirk station to get from one end of the county to the other. Sadly, the bridge has since closed cutting off traffic to the businesses and homes on either side.
Awesome quadruple +one meet fantastic. I guess it was a pretty good backup after that semi got stuck. At least it was nice to see a lot of manifests with very few stacks for a change.
If you pause that 26:51 You can see that Felix the cat is on the train car too lol I don't know who drew so good on him but let's just say I don't know who but that's some pretty good art
Business gets booming when there is trouble like that stuck truck, like a quadruple meet, awesome. A lot of these were really booking. Awesome train action in this one, thanks WWOT. DPU alright my friend. Enjoy your weekend.👍🏼😎🚂
Wow from 1:00 to 3:30 he really picked up speed from at least 15 mile per hour to like 35 to 40 mph. that was probably how fast he was going when he came around the bend about 3 miles away. Nice Train meet sorry I’m commenting late I really enjoy watching your videos . I like to watch your previously uploaded videos ha! It doesn’t matter which one it is because your recent uploads & your previously videos are always banger videos from Wide World Of Trains on YouTubaa here comes the next video roll it!
I saw that incline in another video. The one you were in between two trains. I think that one went viral. But that guy should have known he would get stuck with a low trailer like that and a short but steep incline.
I'm full of questions. How long did it take for everything get get caught up. I was raised in the Centeal Vally of California, and the Southern Pacific ran at the fare back side of our property. That was one of the many favorite memories of my childhood. I was so glad to find your channel. Thanks again for sharing your love of trains.
Now that 3rd train is about 2 in a half miles away from where you’re standing. but the train cars are 3 miles away coming around the bend. Good point 👍
There were three trains waiting by the time the stuck truck was moved. It was interesting that two of them were opposite directions mixed manifests between Indiana and New York and I'm not surprised an intermodal snuck up on them as well at all.
Wow, I think that truck getting stuck created a major backup for CSX trains. Wasn't there an NS train that went by while the CSX train was stuck in waiting? I think technically that would add to the number of meets.
Was wondering what happened to the 3 blocked trains, now we can find out. Love the long range shots. The ballast processor is ALMOST a caboose...... A little overlap with yesterdays' video but it's still a good one, thanks much.
I cannot help but wonder if that driver realizes just how lucky he really was because you look at that train that was able to stop in the distance that it stopped in Batman had an angel with them there is no other way the two men that were in that rig had angels with them
The engineer must have got seasick, with the engine bouncing, at around 10.23. If it was a car, it would be the shock absorbers. Not sure what it can be but it doesn't look right. Thanks for the video.
Hey WWOT, great job with the videos again, loved all the DPU ALRIGHTS, a very busy days on the tracks all cause of that crazy truck driver getting stuck on the train tracks
Following a recent comment about the high centring issue due to semi’s grounding on crossings, is it known if the highway authorities have recognised the need to upgrade the approach levels? Great presentation as usual. Well timed!
Technically speaking it's an interesting problem... the railroads keep adding ballast to their lines, so the roadbed keeps getting higher over time. For once I'll actually back the DOT on this one since it's not really a mess of their doing,.
@@kleetus92 I think you do not fully understand track problems. If the track at the road crossing is built, correctly and there is no ground movement, it should stay at the same height, the track bed is ballast which moves under compaction of the very heavy pounding from the freight trains. So when the track is relayed/replaced and re-tamped, you should see no difference, but over time the ballast gets compacted, and there will be a noticeable lip on either side of the interface between them.

This was a surprise, I didn't know they could go in the opposite, at the same time. was this because of the backup?

I miss the old E&N train up here in Courtenay British Columbia Canada
Great trains meets great video thanks Mike

Maybe that’s how Trains take a number 1

That truck had things backed up. Shame NS didn`t have one crossing too.
They really should retamp that crossing.
CSX...bought up the old B&O that ran through southwestern PA during the 50s, 60s & before. 🥰 There were lots of train meets back then.
