0:00 Intro.
1:06 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York. I do not know the date of this portion of the video because you did not mention the date in all your comments about the triple and double meets that you captured on this date. We are looking west at CSX train #Q368 which has just hit Lake Road. At 1:19 we hear the motor of the date at Berry Road that you are standing near start to lower the gate. At 1:29 CSX train #Q368 blows the horn to warn of its approach to Berry Road. At 1:45 CSX #Q368 hits Berry Road. No wonder the trains are bouncing at the Berry Road crossing on track #2. There are loose spikes on several of the tie plates. Also, the ballast under the rails has moved and the rails are allowed to flex up and down. At 3:08 a mid-train DPU appears. At 3:52 CSX train #Q368 passes Berry Road. You zoom in on the end of the train as it continues east.
4:13 You start to pan away from the end of CSX train #Q368 but did not notice the westbound CSX train that was visible on track #1. At 4:15 you notice that the CSX gates are going back down. You quickly pan east and see the westbound CSX train approaching Berry Road. You zoom in on CSX train #I169 as it is blowing the horn to let us know it is coming. At 4:40 CSX train #I169 hits Berry Road. At 4:56 a mid-train DPU appears on CSX train #I169. At 6:29 CSX train #I169 passes Berry Road. You zoom in on the end of train #I169 as it continues west.
4:33 Eastbound Norfolk Southern train #316 hits Berry Road as you pan from the CSX tracks to the Norfolk Southern tracks. At 5:40 Norfolk Southern train #316 passes Berry Road.
7:06 You are in front of the camcorder commenting on the triple train meet at Berry Road. At 8:09 you start to walk toward the camcorder.
8:15 You hear another horn, and you walk toward the CSX track, and you look east and see another CSX train coming. At 9:05 we hear an approaching train horn. At 9:06 CSX train #I165, the westbound Canadian Pacific run through double stack train, appears from behind the trees on the left of CSX track #1. At 9:21 CSX train #I165 hits Berry Road. At 9:21 CSX train #I165 passes Berry Road.
9:51 Norfolk Southern train #14M appears over the articulated wheel set of a stack train articulated well car. After CSX train #I165 passes Berry Road, we get a better view of Norfolk Southern train #14M. At 11:09 Norfolk Southern train #14M passes Berry Road. At 11:39 you walk in front of the camcorder to comment on what we just saw go past.
13:12 We are at the Westfield Railfan Park on the east side of Westfield, New York on 23 May 2022. We are looking east at the North Gale Street crossing. At 13:18 we hear the horn of CSX train #I009 which is approaching the Galle Street crossing. At 13:23 we see the headlight of CSX train #I009 appearing through the tree branches. At 13:33 CSX train #I009 hits Gale Street. At 12:38 CSX train #I009 passes the CSX Mile Post 58mile marker. At 12:36 you receive a horn salute from the engineer of CSX train #I009. At 14:03 a mid-train DPU appears in the train. At 14:50 CSX train #I009 passes Gale Street.
15:22 you step in front of the camcorder, and you talk to us about all the bare tables on CSX train #I009. At 17:19 you come in front of the camcorder to talk some more about the Westfield Railfan Park.
18:01 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 25 May 2022. We are looking at CSX train #I009 which has just split the Mile Post 44.8 signals. At 18:10 CSX train #I009 gives us the first horn warning of its approach to Berry Road. At 18:27 CSX train #I009 hits Berry Road. At 19:53 the end of train DPU on CSX train #I009 passes Berry Road. You turn to zoom in and follow CSX train #I009 as it continues west. At 20:29 CSX train #I009 passes Lake Road. At 20:36 the gates at :alle Road go up. At 21:03 CSX train #I009 passes the Martin/+Lowell Road crossing.
21:10 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 21 May 2022. We hear portions of the CSX defect detector at Mile Post 49.41. You mention that there are 588 axels on the train that went past the defect detector. At 21:42 the CSX gates at Berry Road start to activate. At 22:12 CSX train #Q368 hits Berry Road. Since this is an eastbound train, the defect hotbox detector that we heard at 21:10 must be the defect hotbox detector in Brocton, New York at Mile post 49.41. That defect hotbox detector is about five miles west of our current location. At 22:54 a mid-train DPU appears. At 23:13 the CSX defect hotbox detector at Mile Post 49.41 makes another announcement about a train that past it . At 23:11 the CSX gates at Berry Road go up.
At 24:48 Your Outro begins and ends at 27:56.

i have been a fan of freight trains since i was a kid. we lived next to a set of tracks owned by the long island rail road when i was in high school. BBBBBOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! all the same cars and only once an hour after rush hour. this is freaking awesome!!!!!! good job sir!!!

Cool hat trick meet! You're right about the large amount of rail pumping, means the ballast has been ground into sand. CSX's barking seals are going to get louder until it's fixed. 5 trains in such short time, you must be living right. Incredible video.

Just, wow 5 trains in that short of time is just plain nuts, u have the best luck ever. That rail pumping is getting pretty bad, I see what u mean about just shoring that up with ballast, if not it’ll just get worse, those heavy cars were really bouncing. With all that bouncing, how bad does it have to get before the engineer gets worried about unsafe conditions? Can the engineer feel that bounce? I've been running this through my mind wondering how bad of a bounce does it take to cause a derailment hypothetically. When I get to thinking that a train is long and always in tension. So I'm thinking the tension is what keeps all the cars on the track. But because you said the reason for the squeaking, was the couplers moving up and down, that still gives it room to move up and down . It doesn't take much to jettison an automobile over a speed bump to get it airborne. Another words there's nothing pulling the front end down to the ground other than gravity. A train car has the car in front of it pulling it back onto the track, trying to straighten out a bend in the rope.
That track was really sagging! Looks like a free rail spike if it pops out! Nice railfanning spot! Great video!

The 368 sure had a lot of lumber on it. I slowed down the video to 50% speed so I could rear the lumber raps.
