Always going to love the entire bit with Mato, Yomi and Kagari at the beginning. The scenes in real life reflecting in the Otherworld is just so brilliant. The way BRS constantly seeks out Dead Master to reflect Mato's emotional attachment to her and the way Dead Master finally fights back. Fucking chefs kiss

Because Mato's condition was too unstable at her connetion to BRS which cause her to transform into Insane Black Rock Shooter.

Meh as someone who's had their arm torn off I can attest the tearing off doesn't hurt so much the putting back on is agonizing.

Strength vs. IBRS fight is possibly my favorite scene in any anime ever, wish it had lasted longer but it will always be embedded into my brain.
Loved the Other World scenes from the series, but the series was too short.

I gotta say, this series has some of the best drawn and animated detailed fight scenes...but the story was really exaggerated in some parts and didn't make a lot of sense? :P
In a short sum of words, the story is about a world where the hidden emotions of girls come to life and fight (assuming there is conflict in the human world) as we follow a middle school girl and what would typically be the troubles she has in regards to her social life with her classmates and teachers (Like a slice of life anime would that includes drama). It was a bit exaggerated, I will agree, but the series was only 6 episodes long if I'm right, very short.
It is because is not a draw, those are 3d models and cgi animation, pretty amazing 3d animation

She has pretty hair in pigtails, my pigtails are so uneven and look horrible
She looks good with unusual eye color, weird eye color that's not animated normally look really weird
Her clothes looks good on her even though it's a really unique style, while I look stupid in a skirt and if my hood is on I look like a really ugly dude
And she would've died 5 million times from what I'm pretty sure is blood loss

I'm still trying to understand what this symbolizes... Is it obvious and I'm just dumb?
(Spoilers maybe?) I'm guessing it symbolizes how Saya "grows" students in school, and then chooses a select few to join the Other World's mess. And Black Rock destroys those "students" because she doesn't want them to join that mess(She's already trying to get rid of the existing Other World girls). But then it looks like she missed the selected student on purpose and tried to help them? Then seeing how the selected student was scared, killed them. Does anyone have an explanation for this or did I get it right lol

A very late response but anyway: Kohata (the basketball club girl)'s other self did not retaliate against Black Rock Shooter, Mato's other self, because Arata, due to her tomboyish personality, does not let feelings to get over her. Black Rock Shooter murders her anyway because Mato felt that Arata was feeling pain, and wanted to free her for her stress.
