Thanks Nick, not sailed boats at all, from Preston originally and spent lots of time at the docks, just watching, interested to see how you go on, but my interest has always been motorcycles, and have watched your M/c channel regularly, so the adventure begins, I visit fleetwood quite a bit so will be watching out, I live in Heysham now over looking the bay and have good view to barrow, take care catch you soon

Nice looking boat Nick, make sure you have got a life jacket to hand just in case! Looking forward to the sail up to Fleetwood obviously with the pre-planned stop off's along the way. ⛵

I came to your channel from your bike stuff. I know nothing whatsoever about boats but I do get the attraction. I have never sailed so giving the details of the boat itself, the systems and procedures will be very interesting.
Good luck with the maiden voyage. 👍🏻

Hi Nick, I've been watching ur motorcycle channel for some time now, and as a fellow Lancastrian from far inland Burnley, I'm really looking forward to also watching your new sailing channel. Now I recall u saying in this vid that if your watching this you'll know about boats, well I don't, and that's why I'm watching, because I'm confident that you'll cover sailing thing's from first principle, like navigation, sail use to name just two, so non sailing subscribers like myself can understand what sailing's all about. I haven't watched you leaving MH habour yet, but when I do, I'm sure I'm going to have to ask you questions later on just simple technical things that u probably take for granted yourself with ur sailing knowledge, but for those like me who have no idea, you may think it's useful to expand on the technical aspects in future commentary. Safe sailing

Awesome 🙌 thanks for the sub, 36 foot boat is a decent size to sail across Atlantic

Wow Nick. I know FA about boats but bizarrely really looking forward to this. Didn’t realise you were so experienced water wise.

Really looking forward to the sailing adventures Nick. Would have been so handy if you were able to Moor at Glasson, perhaps they'll get it dredged sometime in the near future. Good luck with the new channel!! Ride AND sail safe 😅

    That's really nice.
Why the red lights at night?
When you say auto pilot on the deck, you still have to do the work and steer right?
If you're ever down this way I'd like to make a walk round QA with you if that's OK.
Such a nice thing to do.

Thanks 🙏 red lights don’t affect your night vision as white light does. Autopilot set a compass heading hit auto button and she will steer the boat for you keeping on the heading you picked so you can sit back relax, and deal with other jobs like sails, or popping below to make lunch and a brew. If I’m down that way anyway will always let you know

Good to see what a real boat looks like, instead of that fake, sterile clean of a boat show below....
