Thanks so much, I could figure it out after seeing this video. Just by going to the Device Manager there was a warning on the multi-port host controller, just uninstalled it and reset the laptop make it work again.
Try another port worked for me. Windows 10 setup my mouse and I used the Logitech app to adjust scrolling and pointer speeds. Thank you for the tip! - Paul

My port works. I tried plugging different things into it and it works fine. I tried plugging the mouse into other ports and it doesn't work except for the ones at the back. Both the mouse and the ports work but that port in particular doesn't let me use my mouse.

For me the dpi and the scroll doesnt work and i cant fix it the mouse is good when i was updateing some software for changeing dpi and other stuff the mouse fucked up
mouse always works in window 10 because windows 10 is svga. yes it is. windows was always dos in a skirt and windows 10/11/12/13... is still dos in a skirt. dos programmers, like myself, had to compensate for the mouse driver in text mode. by this i mean the default mouse driver x/ys was always and is always assumed to be 640x480 and the x/ys are reported based on that. there is no such thing as 0,0 or 1,1 in text mode. the mouse driver sez no, man. we can't have that. it doesn't work. it's no good. You have to make up the difference with a prepossesser directive or inject hardcode every time the mouse function is called. #define FIXx x = x / 8 + 1 #define FIXy y = y / 8 + 1 You will forget to do this sometimes. your program will shit down your throat. debugging will make you see the light. it takes a while. why wasn't this thought of based on video modes long ago and stuck in a library?

The mouse button seems faulty. You have to change your mouse.
