    Loved watching how you reseeded the lawn. It should be looking lush again in no time. Looks like you are getting a good tomato crop this year too, I bet they were tasty. This was so relaxing to watch as it is every week.

    Your garden is looking great! Pulling weeds is work, but can feel so rewarding when they come out, roots and all.

    Wow. Nothing better than fresh, picked from your own loving garden vegetables.
    I tried years ago but the earwigs in my veggies grossed me out. They are relentless. I even find them in my mailbox 😮

    Y'all guys have such a different summer then we do in GA. My garden always looks like it's like it's been fired. No matter how much we water. Your garden is beautiful!!

    Our yard care guy told me to not cut grass lower then 3 inches it will choke the weeds when they try to come up due to lack of sunlight, he said 3 1/2 is perfect length for healthy grass! Our weeds alway die due to lack of sunlight since we keep our grass 3 1/2 inches high. Your yard is looking nice! I have a vision of what I want our back yard to look like due to this series! Thank you sophia. ❣️👍🏽

      I don't cut the grass that short but I am reseeding and won't be able to cut for 3 weeks.

    Hi Sophia, everything looks great. But what do you think about where the patch of grass is missing try to make a small flower bed on that spot.

    • @mygreatchallenge
      @mygreatchallenge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I d rather have grass. A small flower bed means mowing would be a pain. Plus it would not go with the design of the front yard as I have it.

    What type of wild grass is that at 6:05. Unfortunately, my backyard is full of them.

    Garden is looking fantastic! I read that you should not rake your grass when you cut it. The clippings fertilizes the lawn. Also the article said to cut your grass often and keep it high instead of shorter. It helps keep it in better shape etc

    • @mygreatchallenge
      @mygreatchallenge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cut it short because I am reseeding the lawn and won't be able to mow for 3 weeks. Same for the raking. I am dethatching so I can reseed.

    Your garden is so beautiful and your tomatoes are so bright red. The cherrys look so good mine turned out to be black cherry and we eere so disappointed. They just dont have the glavor of the red ones. We bought the plants at Home Depot they were incorrectly marked. Bummer

    Your garden is doing good I'm impressed. I was wondering about the grass in the front yard could the lack of grass in spots be caused by the shade from the house. I live in Arizona and Bermuda will not grow where there isn't sufficient sunlight. I don't recognize the variety of grass you're growing so maybe it is more shade tolerant than Bermuda.

    • @mygreatchallenge
      @mygreatchallenge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nom it s areas that were taken over by weeds and there was nothing left by the time the weedkiller was done with them. The house is facing south

      We had Bermuda grass when we lived in Texas. Different varieties for the northeast.
