Hey Marty, good to hear from you! I amnot sure Ozzie the dog thought much of the rowing action that day. Hope you and Kerryn are still getting out in Rowbob, say hi from me.
Thankyou! The weather here is dismal at the moment but hopefully we will be getting out again soon. Yes, Ozzie steals the show effortlessly. He is a great crew member. 🙂
As always Gary, thank you! Mars always tickles me - looks like a fun boat that likely gets much attention?! Ozzie goes down as one of the best mates to live.
Thanks Rob. Yes, Mars is a great little boat, which draws crowds of admirers wherever it goes. Andrew has made some epic journeys in it, right down the Darling and Murray Rivers. Poor Ozzie, I will have to make sure we are better organised so he doesn't get whacked on the head with the oar in future. But he was very good about it. He is definitely the best first mate!
Thanks Chris, yes, we seemed to be reasonably evenly matched in terms of progress. I get the feeling we will be fighting it out for the red lantern/ wooden spoon award each day ... or being ignominiously towed in.
😄 Thanks Holley. Yes, rowing with him sitting in the line of the oars does have some drawbacks ... for both of us. He usually sits in the area in front of the thwart but we were a bit disorganised and distracted that morning.
Garry they are beautiful boats, you have helped me to define exactly what I would love ❤️ don’t need a sporty thing. Something like that for me and my Frenchy. Any chance you’re ready to sell? I’m probably just up the road? 😉👍
Thankyou! I rekon the Skerry really hits a sweet spot: light and easy to beach launch and move around, good to row, quite fast sailing, easy to rig, relatively stable, lots of room .... you get a lot of boat.A good choice I rekon. Are you over Altona way? I'd be happy to line up a sail one day... if the wind ever settles down😊
@@garyhardy3810 sounds like a sweet boat, but I wrote that before I relieved where you are lol I’m actually on Bribie island QLD. Otherwise I would definitely take you up on your very kind offer.
Like the rowing action. RowBob.

What beautiful boats 👍🏾😀. Also Ozzie is a star ⭐️

Great to see you guys on the water at Altona. A beautiful day for a sail. Cheers
Thanks Jeff. The Bay round Altona is a great place to sail and explore. I am looking forward to getting out there again soon!

Interesting comparison between the two boats Gary. Good to have a similar boat for company on the big sail.

Excellent! Thanks for making the video. Perhaps Ozzie should move a little bit… 😂

Great video Gary. Just wondering have you sailed down Laverton creek to the bridge?
It is pretty shallow and weedy at the creek mouth these days ... I tried rowing in at a high tide a few months back, and got stuck about 50 metres in.
Good one. Is that Melbourne where you're sailing?
Hi Andy, yes. This was one of our shakedown cruises for the Tawe Nunnugah. We sailed from Altona this time. Are you Melbourne based?
