I have a camera like this coolest thing (no pun) was watching my little dog walk down the hall and seeing his footprints on the floor and then have them disappear a bit creepy, to be honest.
I bought one to check for potential problems at a client's house and it's since been a valuable tool to have. I don't use it often, but no need to charge the battery beforehand which is better than FLIR one. it's worth every penny. 👍🏻
Yes, I also like this one very much. The only other one with variable focus is the seek adapter, which did not last for long. I hope this one will last longer. From the quality of the case at least it makes a better impression. I did not realize the stand with the mounting box, maybe it is new. It has a holder to clamp the phone above the camera as it seems on a photo of the product.
Very nice camera for sure. But i dont like to connect it to a smartphone at all. It is expensive and so i want to use it for many years of course. But nobody knows how long the app will be supported and i am sure the connectors will change again and again over time. Just for example, here i have a very good loudspeaker for the old 30 pin iphone connector. So at the moment i still keep my iphone 4 just as a music player because i like the sound but the speaker is no use with my actual xiaomi phone (yes, i went from iphone to cheap chinese phone) and no use with any modern iphone as well...
Will there ever be thermal imaging devices that are in the price range of hobbyists and makers on a budget? Certainly a lot of electronics tools can be expensive, but in most cases there are less costly alternatives that are useful for limited purposes. You can get a USB oscilloscope for less than $100 that is wholly adequate for some projects. But thermal camera manufacturers just don‘t seem to offer anything like that. Is there something about the technology that makes it impossible?
sorry, yes on the screen there are markers and temperatures, I didn't realize the video does not capture those. there might be a setting I have not found
Thanks. I have a Flir at work and was saying to myself….”self, wth? Do I guess based on the color?”. Thank you pal. Btw. I have a case on my phone too as probably every person does. Maybe they will revisit the design.

Nice camera, good way to find all the heat loss points in the house.

my FLIR ONE keeps loosening and falling out of my iphone 12 (no case) I tried twisting the knob with the screw, but no luck.
Good day! The thermal camera is very useful piece.
I just ordered a smartphone with integrated one.
Waiting for it to try
Best regards from Russia
I use the P2Pro for iPhone. I use mine for seeing radiant loops all the time.

Hello, can this device be used for detecting termites and other insects inside wooden walls or concrete?
no, unless the bugs are really hot
It's nice but fairly expensive for being a Snap-On component!

It's nice to finally see adjustable focus, maybe we will have autofocus in a couple of years?

thermal cameras on Aliexpress are in the $50 range. This is a high resolution professional quality one. as with oscilloscopes you get what you pay for
Looks like a damn cool camera :)
Hi can this see hot water pipes running behind a plaster board (drywall) wall?
it will see a heated wall but not inside
I’m confused as usual. Does it show you the temperature on the screen of what you’re pointing at?
