Hello friend. Is mask wearing mandatory there and we're there any entry restrictions regarding BS19? We went to the Caribbean every October/ November and I'd love to surprise my kids with a trip, I just don't fancy it if we have to abide by pointless restrictions such as masks etc👍

So glad you loved your stay, even with the inconveniences of the sargazo and the overcharging and hustlers, hope you can come back to explore some more of the north and south in the future. Bayahibe is very similar to Punta Cana and less expensive so good choice. Next time you need to explore Puerto Plata, Constanza, Pico Duarte, Las Salinas de Bani, Barahona and Jarabacoa. Lots of beaches and great hiking places as well. Looking forward to your next adventures. Thanks for sharing.

That looked like a nice place. Usually I don't like how the all inclusives look from videos, but this one looked good.
Just to clarify DR is the country, Punta Cana is an area on the East side of the Island. And PC is part of La Altagracia Province. Hope you enjoyed your trip!

Glad you guys enjoyed my country, I hope you come back soon. There are a lot of things to explore in the DR, the center of the country has a completely different landscape it is mostly pine forest and it can get below cero temperatures in the winter months, you can do kayaking and rafting in Jarabacoa or visit Constanza and Valle Nuevo, then there is the Southwest which is arid and semidesertic there are areas with sand dunes and everything.

I have been watching all your videos of RD this weekend and they’re beautiful. The resort in Bayahibe was very nice and affordable. Now I know where to go when I go to RD. I’m glad that you like the country and enjoy it so much. One thing that I didn’t see you doing was having a coconut water. I can not go there and not having a coconut water, it is a must to me. Have a wonderful and safe travels both of you. Meanwhile I will follow yours adventures from NYC.

We're not big drinkers, so we always wonder whether the all inclusive resorts would be good value for us. Looks like that resort was really popular. Surprising that the restaurant was booked out days in advance!

You love nature, you have to go to the mountainous regions when you return to the Dominican Republic, there are the best forests (these areas are colder, in winter they reach 3 degrees below zero). There are tours to climb the highest mountain in the Caribbean (Pico Duarte), you don't need to be a climber to get to the top. :)

i was just reading on that mountain and saw one video on it but also an area called costanza which has coldest day recorded in DR , found it interesting that pico Duarte does not have coldest recorded at 10,000 + altitude .
incredible the pictures of Costanza and looks like Big Bear California . i am shocked no one does video of Pico Duarte or Costanza .

This is probably a weird question but if you’re allergic to peanuts and Carol eats some and kisses you would it effect you? I always wondered about that.

We liked it a lot, even though the majority of the sunbeds were taken, we never saw the people. People seem to put their towels on them and disappear lol
So...my husband had already booked punta cana for our 15th wedding anniversary getaway...luckily he saw your video about the algae just 1 week before we take off. Booked Catalonia adult only resort and we had the most amazing time. The sea was as perfect as you described it....thanks for this....💗
Barahona it's located on tu south of the island, on this side of the country You Will see more poverty but more kind people and the best beaches of 🇩🇴. Barahona Province (San Rafael and El Quemaito beaches), Azua Province (El Barco and La Caobita beaches), Perdernales Province (Cabo Rojo and Bahía de las Águilas beaches).

One of my favorite resorts. I have stayed there several times. Always visit Bayahibe while there as well. Stayed at the adults only but was able to walk next door.

Nice hotel stay at the resort. It looked nice cleans and fun. I liked Carol with two Mojito's at the pool 😎 the water was nice and clear, but I agree it was noisy with the kids and families. Hi guys! Great video. Hey Chris, I've had stomach / intestinal issues most of my life. It stopped when I quit caffeine and dairy. Nowadays, there are great alternatives. I probably had IBS. 100% normal now. Hope this helps.

Been to DR 28 times my second home. My wife is from there we go every year and looking at this video was nice.This year we stayed at the Melia resort in Bavaro beach excellent hotel as well but i know more on the North side of the island from Puerto Plata, Montellemo, Sosua, Cabarete, Sabonetta, Gaspar Hernandez, Rio Sanjuan, Nagua, Abreu, Cabrera, Sanchez, Las Terrannas, Samana, Cayo lavante to Santo Domingo, Santiago Moca, Espiallat, etc. Yo megusto republica dominicana.
Seems you have a ton of knowledge about DR! Which region (Punta Cana, La Romana, Puerto Plata, etc.) would you recommend for a first timer who loves beautiful but uncrowded beach, adults-only all-inclusive (ideally a newer one) and great food? Any info greatly appreciated!

WIll be going to Iberostar, 2nd trip to Cancun. All inclusive is SO much more relaxing than any bNb! You truly feel like a kIng for a week! You never worry or waste time looking for food/drinks or carry any cash...just your board shorts and sun block! And the pools/beach is a short walk with service within the sound of your voice...

Every year I stay next door at Viva Wyndham's Dominicus Palace. Bayahibe is an amazing area with awesome scuba spots!

Chris is right about the reservation to other restaurant. The key is once you are are done with the checking in, go to the reception and request a reservation to the restaurant of you liking. We make that mistake several times in Punta Cana. I have been to several resort in Punta Cana and wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. They do clean the beach in the morning but you can see still the algae. This was in March 2020 during the beginning of the pandemic. This video bring back so much memory as I was there 3 years ago.
I done a few of these all inclusive. The food in the restaurants coming from the same kitchen except maybe the Japanese food.
I like the buffet better . The restaurant yes it’s a slower atmosphere and all the courses are timed.
Also the buffets give you more variety.. but each it’s own.
That was a really quality all inclusive. Juice bar and crepiere stand? Never seen that at a Riu. Also the food looked quite excellent.

If you got the chance to go back in the near future don't forget to check bahia de Las aguilas, it may be one of the best beach in the whole planet and barahona has some nice places too and off course the Forrest and mountains on the northwest are breathtaking
If you go again to the DR, you should go to hoyo azul, bahía las águilas , punta Rusia and cabarete Pto plata, those are beautiful places ❗️
You left out Playa Ensenada .. Puerto plata beaches are nothing special though.

Beautiful Crystal clear beach. Good choice in staying there than Punta Cana this time. The water is blue and no seaweeds at all. Enjoy your 2 nights. You deserve some luxury in an all inclusive resort. Enjoy checking out their variety of restaurants. Hope the resort have Italian, Japanese and Indian restaurant for your choice of lunch and dinner.
