    Guys I’m seriously torn, should I go 220s for the meet and aim for an 1800 total (never done this on the platform only in gym), or should I go 198s and beat my last total and get that 500 dots/wilks score? My PL score (dots/wilks) would be higher most likely 198s, and clearly I don’t have long left to make this class so once I go up again imo that’s it, no going back.
    However likewise I’m 215 currently and not gonna lie, pretty fucking hard being this lean and having to drop even more. I’d have to be 211 or so to make weight. Pros are I get to cut and look sick through summer, cons are: definitely hurting total potential and less training enjoyment.
    I’m keen to hear your thoughts!

      That makes me incredibly happy to read, thank you for taking the time to comment that. As cliche as it sounds, it really does help keep me posting.

    Hey Brendan, big fan of your content. A few months i got back into lifting (i am 28) , and your videos are a pleasure to watch man, i learn so much. I havent watched fitness content in years since i was 22, and alot has changed. I was wondering what your thought are about these younger lifters on YT posting ridiculous numbers almost comparable to yours, e.g., ryan dangler, lex little. It seems like many up and coming teens are strong out of their mind nowadays lol

    Dude Bench is looking really good here. No more slowing at lockout or hesitation! Stoked to see how this plays out in the future.

    Great info. Do you still do sub max training or are you backing off those now?

    I would like to know the wizardy on how you placed a 45 lbs plate on your back.
    I can't do it without someone placing it on.

    So far DUP program is going great! Quick question is bench supposed to feel more difficult after squat? And thank you for the feedback on last video!

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can depending on how wrecked your shoulders get from squats, also if you normally don’t do full body or splits that have squats or deads before bench, you might be detrained. However if it’s severe than something else is off.

      Hahaha that’s what I’m leaning towards dude, I really wanna be shredded through this summer and then start a bulk up through winter. I can even time it where I start reversing right after my meet late summer which is always when you look the best. Full and shredded lol

    whew, back looking like a question mark during that OHP. no lumbar pain from all that?

    I think you need a weighted vest it may bre just a touch easier and it wont pants you indirectly

      They’re usually too light, I often times do 3 plates and just have someone put them on my back. Admittedly though it gets a little hard, so I gotta figure something else out

    What do you think about doing the seated High Incline BB press instead of the standing press with a flare? That would remove the instability component of the lowerbody imo

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I program seated military all the time for athletes but I like it with a short seat (so my head can move back) otherwise it’s basically a high incline which I don’t like. I don’t have a seat like that so I don’t do them. Standing OHP is great though for total body coordination, strength and stability. Really great strength exercise imo

      I’m confused a bit? Did you mean to write squats? Or listen perhaps is a mistaken word? Trying to decipher this text, maybe I’m being dumb lol

    Hi. What's the deal with the ohp wide grip.

    • @BrendanTietz
      @BrendanTietz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I explained in the video but in short basically it stretches my pec and delt in a way that feels amazing and seems to help my shoulder pain
