Considering he is a genius, Steve explains complex things so clearly. I have a Rambler and it is a breathtakingly articulate amp. Carr amps is also a great company with fantastic customer service.
I have owned 3 Carr Mercury's and loved them, but I found a Carr Hammerhead, and for me its the best amp I've ever owned. Thanks, its just right for home and small clubs, and can get loud.
My friend Mike Mitchell introduced me to Steve when his shop was in Apopka Florida he used to work out of Jim and Connie music's music store he was an excellent guitar Builder and a hell of a guy
Awesome to hear Steve give the low-down, in layman's terms, on the myths, and marketing hype the profiteers have created swirling around power amp power handling. So many players are intentionally misled to think it is a rating of "audio quality". Even heard one bloke say of single-ended designs, "....they sound more musical". Um, OK? What tremendous ears! Ah, the eternal mystique of the power of suggestion applies to audio, as well. Nonetheless, Carr is a master amp designer. Kudos!
Try as I might, I just cannot hear this distinctive 'American or British' divide. I have an amp that uses EL34s and if I play quintessentially American riffs, they sound how they should to me?
Alf Tupper Sometimes I can hear it sometimes I can’t. In the end, who cares? As long as you enjoy your sounds, life is good. And you don’t have to waste time and money “chasing tone” 👍🏾

Of all the explanations I've heard and read, this one is my favorite. Steve has a way with words, and amps too. Keep rockin !
