Hello everyone my name is Darren from blinds for you. Today, I want to talk about panel glides, panel glides are one of the items we make ourselves in our factory here in Townsville.
There's a few things that we do different; one of the things is the way that the fabric, connects to the panel glide system. Ours are splined in, so you can give them a good pull, they do not fall out. A lot of other companies, they'll actually Velcro the two systems together. The disadvantages of that, is that number one, you can't get two bits of Velcro to sit dead flat to give you a nice flat finish. And the other one is that over time, the Velcro, if it gets dirty or dusty it can keep on falling away.
Our panel glide systems, like I mentioned earlier, are splined in, and it gives you a nice, flat finish the way they should look. Another thing that we have with our panel glide system, is each individual panel, has four individual wheels. So they always roll nice and neatly. They don't have a piece of Teflon that slides over and aluminium plate that over time will start to get dusty and scratched and more difficult to move.
