Back in 85 somebody stole my 71 Ford F100 long bed fleetside, when I was a teenager in highschool,my dad gave me his truck. Had put some money into it : holly 4 barrel carburetor, headers ,white spoked wheels repainted and new tires, was taking mechanic shop class in school. very disappointing when it happened ..hope to replace it some time. Interested in F-250 4wd 70-72☹️🤠
Bloody beautiful mate , the steering wheel is on the wrong side 😂! All the trim mouldings in place , what a classic beautiful truck , being a 71 those lower rocker cover trim mouldings are from the 67-69 if I am not wrong , I believe someone put those thick pre 70 lower trim mouldings what is absolutely lucky cos they are the best looking ones opposed to the more thin ones that came in the later 70’s Bumpside, got the original hubcaps too , I would’ve put also the 67-69 three spoke with 1/2 steering wheel and horn ! Well done looks beautiful All the best from Adelaide South Australia 🇦🇺
All the missing trim is in the bed of the truck. The last owner removed it for some reason, I will be adding it back in the future. Watch for a future video with his truck in it! Thanks for being here
With a Ford F-250 of that year, it is most likely a 360 or a 390, depending on the VIN code and the originality of the truck. The 4th digit in the VIN is either a y or an H. The letter Y signifies a 360, while the letter H signifies a 390
I have way too many, and not enough, all at the same time! We have several that I would be willing to part with, long beds, and short beds alike all in various stages of project to running and driving

Great video. I, too really like the old bumps and dents. I see you are in GA. I’m in SC. Do you have an email address where I can contact you? Or phone? I am not on facebook. I’m Lee. Thank you.
Hey there jesse! Great question, the sport custom is simply a trim level package for the Ford F series of those years. While the Ranger and Ranger XLT packages would have been top of the line, the sport custom was an intermediate model between the Custom Cab and the Ranger models.
@@rustynutsgarage4099 mine is a custom. Guess I never put much attention to trim levels. I'm not like the chevy guys where they refer to there trucks as there "silverodo"! I actually have a set of balls.
Good suggestion! I just do this to show the videos with you guys, I don't get paid for these videos so I haven't invested any money in video equipment. For future videos, I'll try to put out better content, of the multiple cars and trucks we have at the shop, hopefully you will like them better! Either way, thanks for watching, I hope there was something there that you enjoyed

Previous owner had swapped in a 460, pulled from a '74 Lincoln.

She still has a bit of wiring to clean up, but I think she'll make a nice truck. Thanks!
When you come across an old truck, check the battery drain test to avoid starting problems. Change the oil and filter. Prime the carburetor.
Sounds like you've done this a time or two. Thanks for being here Hank!
My DAD had a ford truck f-100 when i was a kid
I might end up buying this truck.....who knows
