Awesome AWESOME mix🤙😎... I remember headn' off to basic training jus' after high school graduation. I was 19 and my girl had Just turned 17... My recruiter picked me up the next day at home, and took me to the airport for the trip to San Diego from Logan airport in Massachusetts.... This was (and STILL is ) one of my comin' of age songs.... I NEVER saw my girl again.

Kudos for beefing up what I always thought was a flimsy drum sound on the original. Points lost for a low bitrate upload with audible artefacts such as the nasty mushiness evident on high frequencies. TH-cam audio, while not marvellous, is capable of much better. Why go to all the trouble of making a new mix then spoiling it with a careless upload?

You're kidding, right? The powerhouse drumming on the original was an absolute highlight, while these redone drums (no actual multitracks to be found here as claimed, just a complete rerecording with only the vocals being authentic) are the ones that are a hollow (one might even say "flimsy") drum machine attempt at capturing the grandeur of the original. Oh well, to each his own, I guess.
